Dr. Melissa Ann Strafford, MD

Horrible bedside manner doesn't explain anything and makes you feel as though you're wasting your time. Neglected for 1 year to schedule a D/C to remove a polyup. If I did not mention it at my next checkup I'd still be waiting. Will never make another appointment with Dr. Strafford again. Clearly does not care about patient care does not bother to call them with test results and makes you wait 1 month for sonogram results. Extremely unprofessional and gives the attitude of don't waste my time.

I was referred to Dr. Strafford by a friend and had my first appointment with her a few weeks ago. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was kind and efficient. Dr. Strafford was wonderful. She took her time with me, going over my chart and history. She answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel at all rushed. Based on my medical history, she was able to prescribe any medications I would need until my next appointment with her. The entire appointment was quick and painless; I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Strafford and her entire staff!

My experience with Dr. Strafford was not a positive one. She would introduce herself to me each time we met (despite having been her patient for 6 months)and was not very warm or caring. When we failed the first look screen she broke the news while walking out the door at the end of the appointment and the nurse from the office had to come in and explain the results to us. Furthermore, I had a miscarriage prior to my current pregnancy and had a follow-up visit with Dr. Strafford about a week after having a D&C. During the follow up appointment it was clear she hadn't read my chart b/c she ultimately asked me when I wanted to schedule the D&C.The final straw was when we went for our first appointment after starting to rotate with other doctors in the practice we were told that Dr. Strafford had left the practice and moved out of state. She never told us she was leaving and we had to find out from a different doctor that she would no longer be our primary OB because she had left the… state. Frustrating especially because i'd had several complications with the pregnancy and had no indication that she was leaving.
