Dr. Melissa Renee Young-Harkins, DO

Dr. Harkins is very knowledgeable and patient. She is thorough during her visit and takes time to explain things when you don't understand. She is very delicate with my adolescent because as we know, most adolescents still act like a 5 year old. I couldn't ask for a better physician when it comes to diagnosing my child.

HOW DO YOU CALL THIS MD? EVERY TIME I CALL THIS NUMBER, IT SAYS MAILBOX IS FULL! THERE'S NO WAY TO CONTACT THIS MD USING THIS NUMBER LISTED. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT AND GET A WORKING NUMBER OR LOSE PATIENTS! THIS IS A SORRY EXCUSE FOR A DOCTOR WHEN YOU CANNOT EVEN HAVE THE CORRECT NUMBER LISTED TO CALL!

Been using her for almost 19 years not one time has she entered the room without knowledge and since of caring and understanding. It might take a little wait but it's worth it when it comes to the health of my children.

Took my granddaughter s (twins) for the first time to see this Dr. We were there for four hours. I was a bit stressed but she was very good with the girls, seemed knowledgeable and concerned, although the scripts were all wrong, after a few calls the pharmacy got it all together. I'm thinking by this time things were just hectic for the Dr. that day and it was probably just a one time thing. Took them back for a follow up visit and after sitting in the exam room for more than three hours and two very restless children decided it was not worth the wait , so I am now looking for a more professional and courteous Dr and will never go back or reccomend her .Worst experience ever with any medical clinic.

Been taking my daughter here for several years. Last couple she has only been seen by the Nurse practitioner and the wait has been 2-3 hours from the time in the door to the time we left. Recently our insurance changed and we are required to pay a percentage of the office visit vs a regular copay. I received a $200 bill for a 15 min office visit. Very disappointed

I am absolutely fed up with this doctor the last two times my kids have been sick they have told me to take them to a clinic because she is booked (go by their office there is no cars in the parking lot.) I have been with her for 3 years and only met her 2 times and those times she was not very friendly and acted like she was going to catch something for them. I took one of my kids for her well care visit and we had to sit in the sick waiting room and needless to say my child got sick. Would not rocommend this doctor to anyone!

She was very kurt with my child, hardley spent any time with me and forgot to phone in the prescription to the pharmacy. Would never go there again. I found another pediatrician.

Our 15 month old had bleeding from her ears and Dr. King gave her a prescription which she never called in and it took 3 days to finally get the perscription. Needless to say we have another family doctor now. rude staff, uncaring and a doctor that cannot be reached when needed. Do not use this low rent doctor ever if you care about your child.

Dr. Young-King is very knowledgeable and passionate, she goes above and beyond in the quality and level of care. She is genuine, intelligent and so generous with her time and spirit. I completely trust Dr. Young-King's qualifications, insights and assessments. All of her staff members are professional, very engaging and patient with my children. I highly recommend her!
