Dr. Melodi Lynette Wilson, MD

There’s no one I would want more as my surgeon. I originally didn’t care for Dr. Wilson, her bedside manner is not great and she can often come off as rude or uncaring. With that said I went into labor and had to get an emergency c-section. She was the surgeon on call. My son became lodged in the birthing cannel and stopped breathing. It was her skills and quick thinking that got my son out quickly enough that he survived and with flawless technique towards me the next surgeon (for my next child) was impressed with her work. I only wished she was still doing c-sections when I had my second.

I came to her for a concern about my heavy and super inconsistent cycle. When we went the first time (after an ER visit) she told us it was normal and that it was nothing. This past time we went for the same thing happening while taking birth control and every-time we would ask a question she would roll her eyes and get mad as if we were stupid for asking. As a minor also, she didn’t treat me any different and would stop my mother from speaking up on issues. We sadly switched my doctor because of these reasons and most likely won’t be coming back to her.

Melody Wilson is the worst doctor I’ve ever been to. She is disrespectful, rude and does not know what she’s doing. Everytime I would ask her a question she would put her hand up and tell me to listen. She had me wait 45 mins when there were no other patients. She came in my room for 5 mins, I explained to her my symptoms and she diagnosed me without even checking me. She was so rude, I don’t understand why she’s still practicing. I do not recommend her to anyone.

I found Dr. Wilson to be extremely friendly and attentive. She spent time with me and addressed any concerns I had. I'm new to the area and she took the extra time to get to know me. I would definitely recommend her!

Dr. Wilson did my first C-section, which was an unplanned emergency C-section. She did an excellent job. I was scared, but in her calm and capable hands, I knew I’d be ok. When the same issue arose in my second pregnancy, I chose her to perform my second C-section. She provided excellent pre and post natal care, and I would absolutely recommend her to a friend.

I was first taken back by Dr. Wilson’s lack of introduction or greeting when first meeting her. I waited over an hour to see her and she spent no time getting to know my medical history. She frequently cut me off when I was speaking and rolled her eyes with my responses. She was curt and rude with her responses. She didn’t even ask me if I was taking prenatal vitamins or how I’ve been feeling (Week 9 pregnancy). She seemed disinterested and annoyed that she had to even speak to me. When she did ask if I had any questions I asked about healthy weight gain. She then lectured me about my weight and how “now isn’t the time to join a gym...it’s too late for that.” And wouldn’t let me tell her I’ve actually been incredibly active the past 8 months. She made me feel horrible during one of the happiest times in my life. I was going to give her the benefit of maybe having a bad day, but after reading similar reviews I am not seeing her again. I recommend everyone stay away from her… care.

I looked up Dr. Wilson, on a whim, just to see if she was still practicing. I'm sorry to see that she still is. She was absolutely horrible. Completely void of compassion. Very disinterested in patient care. She barely looked at my chart and started reprimanding me about my weight and predisposition to gestational diabetes and preeclampsia... I was floored. Meanwhile, I wasn't really at risk for either. It was like she didn't even wanna be there. My appointment was like being in a convenience store being waited on by a clerk who hated their job. To top it all off, she gave my newborn son a botched circumcision. I haven't seen this woman in 10 years and am still disgusted with her. She was a basketcase. Careless. I wouldn't recommend that a sewer rat see her for care.

Very rude, never listened to me, did not bother to ask my name. without lab works prescribed antibiotics for a bladder infection that I never had. Keep telling me that I don't have time, I am busy. I arrived at 09:00 but she visited me at 11:30 while nobody else was there. Talks over me, cut me while explaining my problem. just tapped me on the back and magically knew I had a bladder infection. very careless. Never trust this doctor for your health issues. FAIRFAX OBGYN is a bad practice.

She was very rude. I will never go back to see her. NEVER

If you are looking for an OBGYN who is caring and helpful look elsewhere, Dr. Wilson is very rude, condescending and impatient. She closes her eyes frequently as if hearing your pregnancy concerns are a nuisance to her. Bedside manners and manners in general were a class she must have slept through.
