Dr. Melvin Woodrow Coats, MD

They leave people on hold while talking to each other or finishing a TV program. Every-time I call in I am on hold for over 35 min! Beyond ridiculous and hopefully DR. Coats realizes he can lose business because of the office staff being incompetent!

Have followed him for years from one practice to another with a brief break - do not want to ever see anyone else.

I would never go to him again! He does not seem to care for his patients at all.

The waiting room was overcrowded. It is hot,stuffy, poorly lit and there was trash discarded under the seats. The wait time is incredibly long and the office staff does not return calls. They make you feel unimportant...they are so busy treating other unimportant paitents they don't have two extra breaths to spend on you.

Dr. Coats has been my physician for many years, and literally saved my life. He always has time to listen and takes a genuine interest in what is going on in my life. He needs a larger office as the waiting room is quite small, but he is worth the wait.

Didn't really listen and didn't spend the necessary time to proper diagnose my problem. He may just have too many patients.
