I think my favorite part about this office was getting my medications filled at the in-house pharmacy that first year they started offering the service, paying all those co-pays for the medications picked up with the ladies at the front desk, and then at beginning of the following year having this office explain to me how I somehow still owed them money for the prescription co-pays that I'd already paid in and couldn't be seen in the new year until I paid that "outstanding" balance. I sorted the payment issues out with my insurance company along with accumulated handwritten receipts and found another provider without ever commenting on these services anywhere but suffice it to say, I was not impressed. I see the office has been under new, supposedly more diligent management but I called at the beginning of this year to request a ROI that I was told would be sent the same day. 4 months later, I'm still waiting for that ROI. When time and health allow, I'll have to make the 3 hour tour… to visit this facility and try to obtain this document in person. I suppose I'll be hoping that the place is staffed and open when I get there based on these other reviews.

Went for my appointment last week and their office is closed down. Where did he go? This is twice this year his office shut down. Concerned!!

Dr Mel I thought was excellent. Heck of a doctor but importantly an caring doctor that seems like a normal caring friend

I've been going to Dr.. Mel for years, i think hes great.,but really upset. Had appt on last Mon. Physical for new job. Went in on Wed for my results, had paperwork he had to sign. Someone forgot about signing last page so went in next day, Thur. And they are closed. So so back Mon. May, 24th and still closed. People are coming for appts. And no Dr or open office. Problem, I am still waiting to get my paper signed, without work because of the office, and trying to get a Dr willing to sign last sheet without another complete physical because without a job I'm not getting any pay! What's going on?

Worst experience with a Doctor ever period!

Thankful to have found such a good doctor. A doctor that listens and takes time with you. Although the waiting area is full, they don't waste any time getting you in. I feel very lucky to have found a wonderful doctor. Thank you very much for all you do for your patients. I have been coming for six months now and when I got to him was very sick. I am feeling much better now. Thanks again.

Dr. Mel is so very compassionate, he actually still seen me when he had just had surgery and was recovering. He always has positive things to encourage me too.

Dr. Mel is not a drug pusher. In fact, anyone that would write this probably wanted controlled drugs and Dr. Mel denied them a prescription because their drug screening was positive for illegal drugs or for controlled drugs which the patient never mentioned they were taking. Drug test screening results are the only way a doctor can determine if a patient may have an addiction problem or may be abusing drugs. Giving a patient more controlled substances leads to addiction or even worse an overdose and death. Also if you are a pastiest seeking controlled drugs, beware! Dr. Mel 's policy is that he never prescribes controlled drugs at the first visit. He is a great diagnostician. Yes, the staff is not so great and sometimes I do have to wait a long time to see him but that is because he is the kind of doctor that worries about his patients. He reviews all of my medical history and listens to all my complaints unlike most doctors. If you have an illness, whether major or minor,… Dr. Mel will spend as much time as he needs to in order to make a diagnosis.

This MD is a drug pusher and money hungry!! Numerous tests are done for no reason and he is known in the area as A pushover for controlled meds. I have known many people who sell the meds he prescribes. Also the average time I spend in his office is 2 hrs. No reason for this at all. I am changing my doctor!

It is unfortunate that patients may have had a bad experience at this office in the past. I am the new office manager here and I want everyone to know that we have made many changes to the way things were previously done here. Wait times have decreased, referrals are done right away, and nurse calls are returned within 24 hours. I hope that those who left this practice in the past will come back and give us another chance. Dr. Mel and David Zahm are eager to get their old patient following back. To those who have never been here before, I hope you will come and see how great of an office we are!
