Dr. Mercy Preethi Jackson, MD

I had been a patient with Dr. Jackson for 15 years and could not be more disappointed in the care I received the past couple of days. I have been denied a refill on a medication that prevents seizures (so very important) until I can attend an appointment weeks from now. ($$$). So sad that a provider can abandon a long term patient like myself. Thought you had an oath. I guess you also have bills. Disappointing!

She was unhelpful, rude, and belittling. What I went in for she stated she does not do those exams, but every other pcp i’ve been to has done those type of exams. I would not recommend her.

Excellent Care. Takes time to listen, explain and answer all questions ask. Also the office staff is very pleasant.

I came here on the recommendation of a coworker. I recently moved to the Columbia area and was looking for a Primary physician, and she suggested this office as she had been coming here for a while now. I wasn't able to get an appointment within 2 months with the doctor, but they were able to schedule me an appointment with the nurse practitioner within a couple weeks of me contacting them for an appointment. I was happy with the nurse practitioner- she was knowledgeable and helpful and made me feel at ease. After my appointment with her, I also needed to get blood work done so they had me use their lab that was located right in their office. I was assured that Patricia (the woman who draws blood at that facility) was amazing. I'm 30, have had my blood drawn many times, and even donated regularly in college with no issues. Near the end of getting my blood drawn by Patricia, I heard her mutter an "oops" and felt a sharp pain where the needle was in my arm. I asked what happened and she… responded nothing unusual. She put a bandage on my arm after taking the needle out. I noticed the rest of my day at work that my arm with constantly sore. When I took off the bandage after work, I had 2 red bruises on my arm. For for next 4 days, my arm stayed sore and prevented me from going to the gym to enjoy a work out. On day 5, my arm was feeling better but the 2 red bruises had turned into a bigger purple bruise. This experience has been a nightmare and I never plan on going back there. I've never had any issues with getting blood work and never realized how painful it can be in the wrong hands until now. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone, due to the uncomfortable and annoying experience I had getting my blood drawn there. I wish I could post pictures with my review so everyone could see how my arm looked after the bloodwork.

I have been going to DR. JACKSON since she replaced dr. Alonso. I Think she is a true professional in every aspect. Her diagnosis on several diffeRent conditions that I have been faced with have been right on target. She is caring and very patient. I think she is perhaps the smartest doctor I have ever been to. I would recommend her to anyone. Love her !

If you would like a thousand tests done on you for no reason what-so-ever, she is the doctor for you! She ordered tests on me that other doctors saw no reason for; and, there was no basis for ordering the tests. I will NEVER go back to her.

I've been with Dr. J for several years, ever since she took over for Dr. Alonso. Dr. J is WORST dr ever. She doesn't practice medicine...she practices referrals. ANYthing other than a cold she insists you see someone else. Then, when you get to the other doctors, they comment on how it could have/should have been taken care of with my primary. Office staff is ineffective, rude, and lazy. Dr. J also churns patient appointments--can't discuss more than one issue at an appointment, but won't make back-to-back appts, so you have to keep going back. Really, you won't look at my toenail when you refill my blood pressure medicine?

I waited 2 hours to see Dr. Jackson at my last visit. I had to wait as I needed a refill on a rx and she would not refill unless I came into the office. Find another doctor. Office staff is not helpful either. Also my husband needed a preop physical and they could not accomodate him until after his surgery!!

This person does not act like a real doctor. Stay away if your concern or medical condition is above mild. Go to someone with diagnostic skills and superior medical knowledge.

My overall experience at the office of Dr. Jackson is great.The staff was very nice and helpful.Dr. Jackson was extremely personable, understanding and caring. Even though it was my first time seeing her, I felt like I had known her for years.I would like to add that my wait at the office, 15 min, was due to my being new. Since I had to fill out paperwork. But while sitting there, I estimated the other patients waiting time to be approx. 5 minutes.I would recommend Dr. Jackson to everyone and will be doing so with my family and friends.
