Dr. Meredith Ann Wilkes, MD

The Doctor is incompetent. She does not know how to listen or talk to the parents. She is ignorant and condescending. But above all has poor knowledge about basic problems in Endocrinology and has poor judgment. That coupled with huge ego. AVOID!

I never Even got a chance to meet her! She rescheduled my appointment 6 times. She is unorganized and doesn’t care about her patients! She’s treat kids more as a number then humans. She’s unprofessional and should be ashamed of herself!

We brought our child in to see Dr. Meredith Wilkes and believed we had been overcharged for services (not) rendered. Each time we got a bill, we called in to ask about it, but she and her office simply wouldn't respond. When they threatened to put the bill in collections, we contacted her directly. She referred it back to her staff, who had the audacity to deny we had ever called. It is Mt. Sinai’s policy not to provide any proof of a patient having called, such as an email, but we have phone records and took names of those with whom we had spoken. Worse, we reviewed the medical records and realized she had used totally incorrect patient history in order to make a misdiagnosis, and falsified the duration and level of services provided in order to charge more money. When we told Dr. Wilkes the medical records were incorrect, again no response. We reported the incident to the fraud department of our insurance company, who is now reviewing the matter.

I brought my child to see Dr. Meredith Wilkes earlier this year. She did very little, other than tell us to come back in 6 months, and we believe we were incorrectly billed and overcharged for the visit. Months later, we have been completely stonewalled in our attempts to contact her office merely for an explanation of the discrepancy. Now the bill is in collections and the fraud department of our insurance company is getting involved. Her staff is unprofessional, and their organization is designed to ignore questions and stifle communication. If you have any issue with them, it will get worse! My recommendation is to go elsewhere.
