Dr. Meredith Bennett Young, DO

We have seen this physician for quite a few years. She is phenomenal !! She is kind, she is caring, she is professional, she is an amazing diagnostician, her bedside manner is amazing with people who are young and people who are old. If all physicians were like her healthcare system would not be as broken as it is. She is punctual, she is efficient, she completes everything that we need her to do in regards to paperwork referrals everything and anything she is amazing !!! If we could give her 100 stars we would !!!

She has someone e-mail and text you about the appointment time, yet she will not keep the appointment after you have driven miles to get there. Until you ask she does not let anyone know when she will see you. Her excuse has been that she spends plenty of time with patients, regardless of how many are waiting for her past their allotted time. Perhaps, she should schedule only one patient per hour or at least telephone people to let them know that she cannot keep the appointment whereas rescheduling could be done.

Dr Young always takes her time and is very thorough. She never makes me feel rushed and listens attentively. She genuinely cares about her patients. Definitely thankful for doctors like her.

On 01-24-2020 she would not keep our appointment for the 3rd time. She or her office even texted us an hour and half before the appointment to let us know again of the correct time. Yet, after my wife and I drove for 35 minutes to get there slightly early, she was NOT ready to see us at the agreed upon time. After 15 minutes I had to asked someone what was happening, and they told me that it could be another 45 minutes as she was "running behind". I told them that if they had just phoned us, we could have rescheduled, but they did not care. Dr. Young does not seem to care about patient's time or convenience. Her attitude about appointments with patients is quite rude. Just a bit of courtesy about not keeping appointments would help.

As a new patient you're just never sure how it will go, but I really liked Dr. Young. Unfortunately for me, she was on maternity leave when I had to go back. I'll wait until she returns or see someone besides Dr. Kahney!
