Dr. Tan is the most wonderful person and Dr. I’ve ever been treated by. I have to say in my lifetime I’ve had three major surgeries. Meaning, I’ve seen a boatload of Drs in my life. She is so kind, caring and warm. She listens. Actively listens to her patients. She spends time with her patients. She remembers everything about me. Not only from my chart but she knows everything about my whole family as she provides care to them as well. She processes information, explains the situation, gives well thought out and personal suggestions to treat her patients. She is truly one of a kind. In all the best ways possible. I feel lucky to know her and have her as my doctor.

First doctor Tan it’s the best doctor and the great people ??

Dr Tan has a very odd bedside manner. She can come across cold in what she says, however I don’t think she understands how it comes across. Thirteen years ago she was my (not chosen) doctor when my primary OB was unavailable. I ended up pushing for over five hours, having already labored for 30. I had a level 4 tear, needed foreceps to deliver my son, and literally just found out TODAY that my tailbone has been broken in the process. As much as no one wants a Csection, her poor judgement and inability to listen to me as I labored led me down a road that I am still paying for. There are pros and cons to both, however, I believe due to her lack of connection with patient and odd social skill set, Dr Tan was not sound in her decision making. She was too far removed emotionally and empathetically to treat effectively.

Very nice and spent time with me to answer questions.

I went with my wife for an office visit. My wife was instructed to drink plenty of fluids before the visit (which made her bloated and heavier) for an ultrasound test. Dr. Tan humiliated my wife in front of me, by asking me how I felt about her weight gain. I could see my wife was upset with the question as was I. What made it even worse; I think my wife still weighed less than Dr. Tan.People, even doctors should think before they talk.

Dr. Tan, overall, is an amazing doctor with a wry sense of humor. She is invested in the patient's well being. My only issue was that when I had to deliver early, one of her partners had to do the delivery, and Dr. Tan never came by to check on me when I was in the hospital. She sent regards by her partner.

I ended up with an unnecessary cesarean section thanks to Dr. Tan's inflexibility, and she never apologized for her poor judgement. She pooh-poohed my desire to hire a birth doula, which the research data clearly demonstrate lowers the risk of cesearan section.
