Dr. Michael Paul Adamo, DO

Best Doctor EVER. Saved my life. Everything you need and want in a Doctor. He is a D.O., which means if you are an adult, you need to be seeing a D.O. as they specialize in both preventative and most importantly ADULT medicine. Unlike a regular Doctor that is a "jack of all trades". Although D.O.s have the knowledge to treat all ages, they are the most qualified treating ADULTS. I LOVE the STAFF. Always willing and ready to help.

Dr. Adamo is very caring and attentive towards his patience. He listens to what the patient says and then he will talk to you as a person and let you know your options. Where you go from there is your decission. His staff are caring and will take care of you as well as they can and they are prompt in getting the Dr. involved with your specific problem and getting you tended to in a timely manner. It sometimes takes a long time to get an appointment but if it is an urgent matter they will work you in as fast as they can.

A doctor is only as good as the people who surround him and the office staff here is amazingly bad. Bringing this to the doctors attention does no good. It is a wonder that he has patients at all if they have had just 1/4 the problems my family has had in making an appointment and seeing the doctor when they are sick. Not everyone has to money for an ER visit each time they need to see a doctor.

This doctor is ax excellent doctor and very quick to send a patient on to a specialist if needed. His staff on the other hand is disorganized and uncaring. It is impossible to get a quick appointment no matter what the circumstances. You are told there are no appointments and you need to go to the ER regardless of wheather your situation calls for an ER visit. Asking to talk with the doctor is ignored by the entire staff, you are told they will talk to him and get back to you, which may or may not happen. The same goes for getting a refill on a presctiption. It can take as much as a week of calling every day to get refills taken care of. If it were not for this office staff, I would recommend this doctor to anyone, however because of the inefficiency of the staff I have not done so.

I have been Doctor Adamo's patient for over 15 years. He is a wonderful, intelligent, caring and trustworthy man. I absolutely love him as my primary care physician. However, as others have said, he is so busy seeing patients in the hospital, it is nearly impossible to see him if accutely ill, on short notice. One can only see him to care for chronic problems. This being so, I now have a different doctor I see only for acute problems. I call him my "runny nose" doctor. And I still see Dr. Adamo for my many chronic problems. His staff is not rude nor unprofessional. They are overworked and disorganized. Getting a refilled prescription approved, from my pharmacy's request, very often doesn't happen for nearly a week, if then - sometimes requiring repeated attempts. Appointments take at least two weeks, if not longer. Doctor Adamo does not hustle patients in and out. He spends enough time with each to be sure the problem is handled properly. Therefor, it is not unusal to wait… an hour, or even longer, past your appointment time. Like many other doctors: the doctor is wonderful -his staff isn't.

Unable to get an appointment if you are sick. Normal time to get an appointment for regular visits or follow ups are at least 2 weeks. Sporadic office hours and staff does not always answer phone.

When I went to the ER sick the staff gave me excellent attention when I mentioned Dr Adamo was my doctor - they all praised him. I myself have had excellent care from him. Always caring feelings from him.

This office staff are the worst I have ever encountered when it comes to making an appointment to see the doctor. It usually takes no less that 6 and sometimes as many as 10 calls to get an appointment if one is needed quickly.
