Dr. Michael Harold Anderson, MD

I would give zero stars to this doctor if possible. I was a patient of Dr Anderson’s around 2008 for about 5 years. Not only did he misdiagnose me as bipolar but he completely violated my trust as a patient during my final session. I was going through a difficult period of depression and missing a lot of work. When my boss suggested I have my doctor fill out ADA paperwork, I took the paperwork to Dr. Anderson. He accused me of asking him to lie for me on the paperwork and told me he would not fill it out and would not make excuses for me. He became hostile and I couldn’t believe he was accusing me of asking him to lie. I told him this and he began raising his voice. He then called me ungrateful and started crying and telling me about his personal problems. I was so confused and felt so uncomfortable to see this supposed health care professional was crying and yelling that I didn’t know what to do. I’ll never forget his last words to me “Did you hear what I’m saying to you?” I stood up… and walked towards the door. He became enraged and shouted “you know what? You can leave!” It was completely unprofessional and a total violation of my trust. I should have reported him to the medical board. But I was in my 20s then and still didn’t know how to stand up for myself. I can’t believe this guy is still practicing. I’m 36 now and have better learned how to advocate for myself. I hope others will find the strength within themselves to do the same. If you are struggling with mental illness, do not let this doctor or any other doctor take advantage of you. You deserve to be treated with dignity.

Readily available even from home. Very knowledgable and caring. Did not hesitate to make referral if this was needed . I trust him.
