I am in shock about the negative comments regarding Lisa. I have been seeing Dr. B for many, many years, and Lisa has been with him through that whole time. She has been nothing but pleasant, concerned, compassionate and helpful. It hurts me to the core to read these unfortunate and hurtful comments about such a nice, professional lady.

I am not a current patient of Dr. B, because I don't have insurance and he does not see self-pay patients even though I did see him for about 15 years. Now about Lisa...She is just a matter of fact type of person. You have to talk and explain things in more detail or repeat yourself. She is not a bad person, and I do think she is an asset to Dr. B and his practice. You just have to look past her matter of fact straight forward communication style. She does care, but you have to talk to her and let her know and she will work with you. Just don't let her attitude over the phone dictate your response or future actions. And don't take her apparent rudeness personally if you are able. She isn't intentionally attacking you in any way.

I hate to pile on, but Lisa is rude and condescending. Dr. B, I hope you see this review, because you need to know that Lisa is hurting your practice. Although I'm pretty sure you already know this - based on the years of reviews that I just read. I have not been able to get the PT you asked me to get because of her. The paperwork to get the treatments that I need hasn't flowed back to the rehab facility. I had to call them to get a status.... Lisa was just too hard to deal with. And the PT folks are even more frustrated with her than I am. After reading many other reviews, I'm disappointed that you've allowed this to continue in your office for so long. I am on the verge of changing providers although I think you are a good doctor.

Lisa, who works the front desk, is rude and condescending. She is hard to deal with. But, from my experience, she is not an accurate reflection of the rest of the office. Dr. B and his nurses / PA have treated me well and I am comfortable with them. But I'm on the verge of changing providers because dealing with Lisa is just too much of a pain. Dr. B, I hope you read this and consider the impact she is having. I've been trying for 2 weeks to get the PT for my shoulder that you've asked me to get but the paperwork is being held up in your office. And the rehab office is just as frustrated with Lisa as I am. I spoke to them today. They are considering having their manager pay your office a visit.

Good Doctor who's practice has gotten too large. Now we are just a number. They make you sign a waiver giving them authorization to record and video your exam. YIKES! No thanks.

Well I have bad asthma and it is acting up pretty good this week. I called to see if I could get in to see the Doctor, they wanted to schedule me with the Nurse Practitioner. I explained the last time I was in to see her she told me to do what I had already been doing for the past 4 days and it wasn't helping. I have again been doing treatments for the past 4 days and not getting any results from them, I wanted to come in so I could get a shot like last time I actually got in to see him. They told me to go to the ER, I have a 30 dollar co-pay at the office and a 250 co-pay at the ER .. but I can't get in to see the doctor.

I agree with the other reviewers regarding Lisa. I have been seeing Dr B for years, but I am leaving because I don't want to deal with Lisa. Period.

Dr. Bougoulias has always been our wonderful PCP for more than a decade. The past couple of years, however, Lisa, the person who answers the phone, has been barring both my husband and I from ever getting in to see him for one reason or another. Both my husband and I have been denied numerous appointments because she told us to go elsewhere for treatment, whether it be the ER, urgent care, or a specialist. I was denied an appointment for the flu, and told to go to urgent care. My husband was ill and also told to go to urgent care. My husband hurt his hip and was denied a visit and told to go to an orthopedic doctor. I had a bump on my foot, and was told to see a podiatrist. When I finally questioned Lisa as to whether or not she had the medical authority and knowledge to tell me to go elsewhere, was rudely advised that she is a nurse and would get me the referral if needed, but that I would end up there eventually anyway. Long story short, you cannot get in to see the doctor… with this "nurse know all" unless it is for an annual physical because she has nowhere else to tell you to go!

Best PCP ever.
