Dr. Michael Anthony Burke, MD

I have had experience with several bad doctors over the years. Dr. Burke is the worst one of all. Endless complaints have been filed against him with the state. He prescribes medication thats known to have the most horrific side effects and then refuses your calls with no follow up whatsoever.

As a doctor at Riverside Treatment Center/Flint River Hospital he rarely even bothered to show up. Good though because Dr Burke is incompetent as they come and embarassement to his profession.

Dr. Burke is a wonderful Dr. The information he provides is thorough. His answers to questions shows that he is knowledgeable in his practice. I appreciated his charismatic approach. It set the atmosphere for comfort in sharing my concerns.

Today was our first visit with Dr. Burke. My boyfriend has been dealing with severe anxiety/slight depression from having such terrible, consistent panic attacks. His anxiety is something he has always dealt with, but has been unbelievably severe since coming off Paxil 10 weeks ago. We seeked Dr. Burke for help with Brett coping with anxiety and getting his life back. We really enjoyed our first meeting, as Dr. Burke listens very well and makes sure of the patients challenges. He makes us feel calm and hopeful for progress. We're looking forward to the future with Dr. Burke.

I came to see Dr. Burke at a low point in my life. He actually listened and discussed my treatment options in a clear manner, describing his rationale in depth. I learned so much and continue to see him.

Dr. Burke was very warm and empathetic during our session and I really felt like he cared about me on a personal level. Unlike some psychiatrist I have seen before, you actually did not than place me on medications, he actually provided me with therapy and I can honestly say, I feel better for the first time in a long time.

I came to Dr. Burke with depression that has plagued me for much of my life. Unlike most, Dr. Burke actually listened and displayed a warm, empathetic approach. He took the time to learn about me and did not "just throw medications" at me but also provided me ways to cope without medications. I highly recommend him to anyone who is experiencing difficulties in life.

This was one of the first doctors who ever gave me direct feedback as to my self destructive behavior. At first I wasn't sure how to take it but as time went on it was clear that he wanted me to get rapid improvement and was caring in his feedback. I would recommend him.
