Dr. Michael Francis Burns, MD

I first saw Dr. Burns in 2012, when he repaired a torn meniscus in my left knee. The knee has felt great since the repair. When I suspected a torn meniscus in my right knee at the end of 2020, I returned to Dr. Burns. He listened to me and was open to the course of treatment I wanted to get me back to my fitness regimen sooner. He thoroughly explained what would be done, both before and day of surgery, and patiently answered all the questions I had. The repair went well, I'm feeling great, and getting back to my activities before surgery.

Dr. Burns and his staff are the BEST! This practice is so professional and reliable. My knee surgery experience was smooth from start to finish. I knew I needed a knee replacement, actually both knees, and somehow it was up to me to research the surgeon. I was given several selections from the hospital referral service, I checked them out on the internet, and I selected Dr. Burns. Why? His bio said he was a team dr. at the recent Olympics, and I decided he'd probably treated all kinds of weird injuries, perhaps not under the best circumstances, and that was a big factor in my decision. The remainder of his bio was equally impressive. After my first knee replacement in Jan. of 2010, the nurses told me there were 2 surgeons who were, in their opinion, "the best". Dr. Burns was one of the 2. A year later it was time for the 2nd replacement, and there was no doubt who would be the surgeon. I see him every year for routine x-rays and a checkup, I actually get to see and discuss the x-rays minutes after they are taken, and I say, "Is everything where it's supposed to be?" These few minutes reinforce my high level of… confidence in Dr. Burns, and my gratitude for his skill and expertise. I must commend his entire staff as well, especially his P.A., Mr. Scerba. They're all extremely efficient, I never have to wait for my appointment, and I'm "in and out" very quickly. I'm truly very appreciative.

Very Professional, qualified, and Caring.

I have known Dr. Burns since 1996 when he performed a hip replacement on me. He also did my other hip in 2004. Just recently I made an appointment just to see how the hips were doing. They were both doing excellent. The 1996 hip is still going strong after 21 years. Dr. Burns is an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My experience with Dr. Burns has been very good. He is very professional and very caring. I had hip surgery with very good success. His associate, Dr. Scerba is very professional and caring as well. I highly recommend them both.

I was experiencing severe knee pain before my total knee replacement and now I have no symptoms and my knee feels 100% normal. I would highly recommend Dr. Burns to anyone who has knee pain.
