Dr. Michael John Bykowsky, MD

Dr. Bykowsky has been treating several members of my family for years and he has the best patient interface of anyone I've been to. Allergy testing is going to be a pain no matter what, but his distraction techniques kept my daughter calm enough to finish the whole procedure in one sitting.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Bykowsky for 10 years. Under his care, my son's asthma is well-controlled. He spends so much time with us at each visit, making sure we understand my son's breathing scores and that the medications are working. Dr. B has taken the time to really get to know my son and his sports/academics. He has been such a positive influence in his life. I am so happy he was recommended to me by my pediatrician. Not only did he get my son's asthma under control, we gained a mentor. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bykowsky for 15 years. He was the only allergist to properly diagnose my condition. I did not realize that I had asthma and no other doctor diagnosed that condition. The doctor immediately put me on the Xolair shot. Which I believe literally saved my life. Prior to having the shot, I had often gone into anaphylaxis and ended up in the emergency room several times. Every episode was terrifying. Since I have been on Xolair I have not had one episode of anaphylaxis. I have been on the shot for years and it has enabled me to live a normal life. I am a mother of 5 children and my health was paramount. Dr. Bykowsky literally saved my life. He is also a very kind doctor and listens to his patients. With out his expert diagnosis and treatment I seriously doubt if I would be around today.

Dr Bykowsky is the kind of doctor who makes you feel better by the time you leave his office. He has a great bedside manner.

He's great! I really like Dr. Bykowsky---he's easy to talk to, listens to you, remembers details about you. I highly recommend him!

He is so good with kids and has a great bedside manner. Always enjoy coming to him and he has cured me of my allergies! Plus, I never have to wait long for him. He always runs on time.

I chose Dr. Bykowsky after my allergist retired. I liked him as a person but quickly discovered he isn't versed or really intetested in allergies. Their poliies are unethical , especially relating to billing the patient. Nurses have been replaced with techs who adminster injections. When they couldn't understand my shot instructions they would " clarify" them with Dr.B. l would then be billed for an office visit in ADDITION to the $40 shot charge. There is an office visit charged for calling and asking the doc a question or a clarification! I am a medical professional and consider these poicies to be just another way to overcharge the patient while providing inferior care. It will entail starting over at another practice but l feel l must go elsewhere.

This office is fine for simple diagnosis and follow up of shot clinic, but not for any extension of care beyond that. Dr. Bykowsky is not so much unable as unwilling to commit to his patients, when the diagnosis is not a simple treatment plan for his nurses to follow up. If you need a specialist referral, or expect any follow up calls or proactive treatment plan, this is not the office for you. Dr. Black and Dr. Vanderwoode may be better, according to other patient referrals that I am aware of as a five year patient's mother. Office staff, other than two nurses, is cold and relatively unresponsive to any communication, whether simple or requests that require some follow up. "bedside manner, spends time and follow up" are truly lacking, as is "courteous staff".
