Dr. Michael Scott Morris, MD

Dr. Morris has wide biomedical and pharmaceutical knowledge that allow him to deal with complex problems that involve more than typical ear, nose and throat symptoms. He looks for systemic causes and ends up treating failing immune systems, unnaturally heavy mucous, ear problems, thoracic infections and however else the body manifests abnormal function. He has a heavy case load that can make reaching him and his office difficult, but you will not find anyone with a broader medical background or more imagination, or one who will dig so deep to make you well.

I went in to check for ear infection and he ended up doing tons of lab tests, especially blood test that cost me hundreds of dollars. Two weeks later he told me I had a viral infection and prescribed antibiotics and a vaccine that I did not need.

He said that I had whooping cough and coxsakievirus, and hr prescribed and antibiotic and antiviral. I was not coughing and not about to take any more toxic meds. I told him that. I also didn't believe this diagnosis. Another doctor took a quick look at the labs and said what I'd suspected: these are not active infections, but rather signs of old ones or vaccines. Not such a great diagnostician!

I think that Dr. Morris knows his stuff but I find him and his staff very unresponsive over the phone. They rarely return calls, so forget getting your questions answered quickly. I can walk in and get allergy drops on the spot. I also got them quickly when I ordered them over the phone. The staff helped me with my bills when I walked into the office, but trying to pay by phone didnâ??t work. A while after I supposedly paid for drops over the phone, as I noted on my statement at the time, I found out they hadn't recorded the payment. I had to review several months of bills and credit card statements to figure out what was paid and what wasn't. They used to send the drops to my home without any prompting from me. It also was easy to order extra vials so I could keep them in 2 places. However, now that 9 or 10 months have passed, they have stopped sending the drops automatically, making this the second month in a row Iâ??ve run out. I question how well the drops are working… to begin with, and now wonder how the 4- to 5-day breaks while waiting for more will affect my treatment. I continue to ask myself is it really worth continuing the drops or am I just wasting my money?

My teen-aged son has had reoccurring painful throat infections. Dr. Morris has taken his time doing several different tests and explaining what he is doing or what he is looking for. It has been reassuring to have a doctor treat him thoroughly. I don't mind waiting a few minutes, because I know all his patients get the same type of care.

I've been a patient of Dr. Morris for about 8 years, as has been my 11 y.o. daughter. We both have suffered from chronic ear and upper respiratory infections since late infancy.
