Dr. Michael Joseph Chaparro, MD

I've suffered back and neck pain for decades. Immobilizing and Life impeding back pain. I stopped living, I had to plan car trips based on how long I could stand sitting, and where the clean bathrooms were. I was not living normally and hadn't for almost 10 years. I've had numerous expensive diagnostics and treatments, including MRI, Acupuncture and EFI. Nothing helped but worse than that, nobody noticed what was on the MRI. they only looked at the report. Dr Chaparro saw it in minutes of our 1st meeting. Now I am Zero pain from my neck (shoulders, head) and I am recovering nicely from back surgery. My condition is congenital so I had him look at my children too. I trust him THAT much. He is smart, precise and efficient. He also has a good bedside manner. He takes his time to explain and answer questions. He saved my life.

I am so glad I found Dr Chaparro. He has done multiple surgeries on me. There’s no one I’d trust to operate on me again. He’s done multiple surgeries to repair what a previous surgeon did. He’s extremely thorough in taking the time to explain everything to you. You will not be disappointed in this great surgeon!

Dx'd me with Chiari, quickly, when other Dr's missed these serious issues on my films - over & over & over again for over 20 YEARS!? Was non-judgmental, went through every slice of every MRI I had & explained everything in detail. I saw it for my very own eyes & I will forever be indebted to this man for saving my quality of life. When no other Dr could be "bothered" with you because they don't understand the various facts surrounding highly complex conditions of the brain & spinal cord (yet, it's always "you" - just exercise & eat healthy; that'll change the structure of your brain & spinal cord-??? Unbelievable these other morons out there - esp at Univ of Miami - stay away from their NS dept at all costs unless you have something "easy")

I was a patient at children's hospital in Dayton Ohio back in 1996. Within 5 minutes of looking at my xrays he said I needed surgery. He explained in detail everything that was wrong and what would be done. I had a few good years until I fell. I am now too old for children's hospital and he is out of state. I loved him as a doctor. He was very observant. I would recommend him in a minute.

Dr. Chaparro is an excellent doctor & surgeon. Not just excellent, but the best. He is also trustworthy, direct, caring and very, very knowledgeable. For 35 years I had lived in severe pain from spinal cord damage and disc problems. I was hit by a car at age 21 and 12 years later thrown out of my hatchback window. I was brought into Palms West Hospital and met Dr. Chaparro, who was on call. He was caring and attentive. He told me what surgeries I needed. I had both cervical and lumbar surgery with great success. I am no longer in pain. He's a miracle worker! My guardian Angel.

Dr. Chaparro is a wonderfully skilled neurosurgeon who restored my life to its former self after months of pain! He really advocates for his patients in order to get the best possible result. I hold him and his awesome staff in the highest regard. I had spinal fusion of L4-5 and S1 and recovered quickly and am now without pain thanks to his proficiency!

I have to say from the first phone call until my last visit everyone here was a blessing to me. The office staff was so companionate and understood what I was going through and made things happen for me. Also they are so educated on what to expect and what you are going through it was so nice, they don't just work for a doctors office they are part of the doctors office. I never walked away with questions unanswered.. As for Dr. Chaparro, I love him he is direct and to the point and did an amazing job. He lets you know what to expect and takes the time to really listen to you. He is a very smart and compassionate Doctor. Thank you again for taking all my pain away. I highly recommend <3
