Dr. Michael A Chattergoon, MD

He is a busy man and an excellent doctor, but he always puts his patients first! He cut his 5 day vacation to only 2 days (sat and Sunday) at the last minute, so that he could be there for his patients! If you spend some time inpatient, it will become evident how much this man cares. It isn't uncommon for him to still be seeing patients at 10:30 on a Sunday night! One time I was at Jobns Hopkins for an outpatient test and I didn't trust the nurse who did it was doing it correctly, so I called Dr. Chattergoon and he came strait down to the clinic and double checked it for me. He will instantly free his schedule for his patients. During outpatient visits, a resident will bring you in the room immediately and will do a thorough assessment. She then talks to Dr. Chattergoon and they both come in and discuss everything/ examine you. No waits involved Front desk staff are super nice, residents are very knowledgeable, and attending doctors are the top docs in the world. After… spending six months misdiagnosed from two other hospitals, I came to Hopkins and they immediately knew what was going on. I am truly amazed that their very first suspicions were correct. A 6 month battle became a 1 day diagnosis at Hopkins! The time Dr. Chattergoon spends constantly following up with his patients is more time then most other doctors spend with their patients altogether. I have been to more doctors than most people go to in a lifetime, and this doctor is the very best.I don't waste time online rating mediocre doctors. I truly wish there was a way to adequately pay him back for all he has done for me, but his generosity comes from his heart, not my wallet. I have spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what weaknesses are, but I can't come up with anything. He is a person on the other end of the phone, not some cocky professional. He truly cares.
