Dr. Michael Wayne Cohen, MD

Dr Cohen is kind and listens to his patients. He is very thorough and knowledgeable.

Doctors office was clean and bright. Front office staff was polite, but once you're handed your paper work to fill out you are subjected to listening to their loud conversation about whatever the topic may be ( ie: her child, her exercise routine, the other persons spouse ). Once we were called back, the assistant was nice but distant, I felt like we were wasting her time and she wanted nothing more than to be somewhere else. After waiting about an hour and 20 minutes the doctor finally showed up. He spent a total of 10 min in the room with us, half of that time typing on the computer. He appeared to only be half listening to what was being said. After he left the room I felt like we just wasted our time. This was the most unprofessional medical office I have ever been to in my life.

I was referred to Dr. Cohen for lower back pain (work comp inj). He was quite nice and attentive during my first visit. However, around the 3rd visit, he gave me a series of shots (steroid injections) in my back in his office as I bent over a table. I became immediately ill with a migraine and went home, only to be severely ill with nausea, vomiting and a migraine for three solid days. Dr. Cohen finally returned my phone calls, only to say "oh, that's normal". On my 4th and last visit with him, he told me I should "suck it up and join a gym" in reference about my back pain. Upon changing to a different doctor, I found that I had a cyst in my L5 facet area and disc slippage that was pressing on my nerves. I would not recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone with back pain unless you want to be treated like it's all in your head!

I saw this doctor for a return to work physical. I have a VERY physical job. This man spent 10 minutes with me, had me touch my toes, bend my head and walk down the hall. Based on this alone, he determined I was unable to return to my occupation. He is bought and paid for by companies looking to dispose of certain individuals. Believe it, this is the truth.
