Dr. Michael Edward Deroche, MD

This Dr. Although being the one to give me the unimaginable news that my 20 week old son was not going to live after birth was the only light in my dark time. My regular OB after getting the results of the amniocentesis Dr. Deroche performed flawlessly told me to go to Atlanta to get an abortion, I was horrified and in my darkest hour even more hopeless, so I went back to Dr. Deroche and he was genuinely just as concerned about the care I was given as I was. He went above and beyond his duties calling other obstetricians and hospitals to try to help me in my time of need and knowing I had him in my corner made so much difference in my outlook for the end of what would be my son's short life, thank you to you Dr. Deroche your kindness will be carried with me for the rest of my life.

I saw Dr Deroche under some anxiety filled circumstances and treated me with sensitivity and such compassion. He was incredibly thourough in explaining his opinion and point of you in a very comforting manner. He even squeezed me in on his lunch break! I cannot day enough great things about his care.

Untrustworthy! Felt like he would formulate "let's keep an eye on this" issues to have a regular patient appointments rather than telling you truth the first time around that it is nothing.

He has very good bedside manner. He explains diagnosis and its complication in very simple language. Highly recommended for gestational diabetes.

Dr Deroche is in an unfortunate medical field. Most of his patients are not happy to be there. If this is you, I am truly sorry. That being said, I cannot imagine having a better doctor to go see than Dr Deroche. He is a caring, patient person, that really takes the time to explain what is going on. He spent an hour with us going over the situation and comforting us. It is not often that I say this, but the money we spent to go see him was worth every penny.

I was a patient of Dr. DeRoche when he was still a fellow at UCONN medical center. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful the care I received was. In fact, he made such a great impression on me that I continue to keep him abreast of my twins progress as they grow. You see, I was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion and my girls were born at 26 weeks gestation. During the course of my treatment and subsequent birth, Dr. DeRoche and I became good friends and I had said to him that if anything went wrong, I wanted him in the delivery room. Well, much to my dismay, I was transported by ambulance one evening after it was discovered that my girls were in distress. After the long and arduous process of being prepped for surgery, much to my surprise (and relief), Dr. DeRoche was in the operating room. That, to me, says it all. His bedside manner was always caring. My instructions from him were: "If you have any questions, call me. Do not go looking for information on the… internet. Call me. I am available for my patients." I am thrilled that he is continuing his excellent practice and any of you that are his patients are in very good hands. Count yourselves blessed.

My daughter is pregnant with twins. Dr. Derouche has been very informative, attentive, sensitive, respectful and supportive. He is the best doctor that I've seen in a very long time. His attention to detail while still catering to the sensitivity of the patient speaks volumns for his character. I would recommend him to any one that was pregnant and wanted exceptional care. He will take the time to talk to you in depth, without insulting your intellingenet, as many health care professionals tend to do. He is such a great person. I wish they had doctors of his caliber when I was pregnant. The experience would have been more gratifying. My daughter and I just love him and his assistant Jennifer. They are wonderful people!
