Dr. Michael Morgan Dowling, MD

We recently had a televisit with Dr. Dowling and it went very well for a first visit (we chose this option because our child is immune compromised). He took a thorough history, listened to our questions and provided us with good information in a way that was at first very medical but he took the extra step to make the information understandable to those without a medical background. We have some tests to schedule and will be visiting with him again after we get the results.

He is a horrible doctor and a horrible human being...but he will tell you, more than once that "If I knew of a better neurologist I would send you there, but I don't."

Our 13 month old daughter had a stroke in May and we have had multiple follow ups with him. He has always treated us as parents with nothing but respect and care as he answers any questions we have. He encourages us and blows us away with his intelligence but also explains things to where we easily understand them. I’m so thankful he practices in Dallas and glad we will have him to follow up with for years to come.

Dr. Dowling fails to read files, disparages fellow doctors, acts impulsively and without medical foundation, fails to follow up when HIS OWN TESTS contradict his previous (erroneous) diagnosis. He was abusive toward parents and added psychological trauma to a pre-existing and continuing condition which he said - and the facts disputed - did not exist.

Dr, Dowling spent virtually all of his time berating the care the parents had been giving the child and absolutely no time figuring out what was actually wrong with the child. The child left the hospital with no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and no follow-up when test results returned showing definite neurological involvement. This man is an arrogant nightmare who is a disgrace to the medical profession and to his colleagues at Children's Health Dallas.

He saw my daughter in the hospital for a rare disease. His bedside manner is truly ridiculous. He comes off extremely arrogant and very very rude almost immediately after meeting with him. He would talk over us and had no consideration for how we felt or concerns. I just could not believe how awful he treated us. He seriously thinks he is the God of all doctors and overrules any other specialist thoughts and treatments. He has no care of what you think or the best interest of your child....only what HE wants because in his arrogant heart...he is always right and you are wrong. I do not recommend him at all...you will understand why if you ever cross paths with him for the first time. It only takes one to two minutes in the room with him and you'll feel like trash. He lies out of his mouth and says he made up all the studies and wrote an article about a certain disease and it's not true...I researched myself. Stay clear of this joke of a doctor and find yourself a reputable… neurologist that really cares and has your best interest at heart.

This guy is a total pompous A$$. He thinks he knows it all and his word is gospel. He took no time to read our daughters file and even admitted he did not when I asked him. He constantly contradicted himself and refused to listen to us as parents on how ourddaughter reacts to med etc. He wanted to continually subject an Autistic child to invasive and potentially harmful treatment as a common treatment. He lied about knowing our daughters condition and stating he has many patients with the same rare disease that she has and has multiple studies about it and has written books about it. ALL LIES We told him a certain medication does not work for our daughter and what does he want to do? Raise the amount of the same medication and have her take it even more times a day. He then also went against his own colleagues diagnoses of her and said "HE" did not feel that iI was correct. Even though 3 others from the same Neurology department all agreed and all have her the same diagnosis. I… could honestly write pages and pages on why this man should not even be in practice... But it's too long and my thumbs are getting numb. Final thoughts? Do yourself a favor and if you see this name as a recommendation, immediately ask for another. After your first 2 minutes with this "Dr", you'll understand why.

I would NEVER recommend this person to anyone for any reason. He has a g-d complex in that he thinks his opinion trumps other experts with higher credentials. parental input or concerns. This man needs some humility. He lied about reading my child's MRI from another hospital. He said it was fine when there were numerous abnormalities noted on the report from the neurosurgeon and radiologist who signed off on the MRI. He clearly never took the time to bother to review it- had his mind made up before he even looked at it. This man is all about himself not the patient.

Excellent Doctor, always takes his time to speak with us, and is a great patient advocate. Always keeps us well informed. We Love Dr. Dowling
