Dr. Michael Vincent England, MD

Dr. England has been my OBGYN for 15+ years. I'm very unhappy with his bedside manner & compassion to actually listen & respond to his patient without reciting encyclopedia medical stats & data. Im pregnant & I no longer ask him questions or mention any of my issues, concerns or fears. I feel his is now disconnected from his patients...NOT because he lacks skill or medical knowledge (he's an excellent doctor). I just feel he no longer invests in his patients & a pregnancy should be exciting, not fear of asking questions or sharing concerns with your OB.

Dr. England is by far the best doctor ever! I had a high risk pregnancy and had to be hospitalized for a few months back in 2009 during my pregnacy at Magees he came and seen me in the hospital most every day or at least more often than not. , I didn't want to be there and begged him every day to let me go home but he made me stay due to my condition and my daughter came out healthy and so did I , so if it wasn't for him and his persistance we wouldn't be here today. He is always caring and compassionate and talks to me like a human being rather than just another "patient". Unfortunatley with the UPMC / Highmark issues I can no longer see Dr. England due to issurance I may never see a gynocologist again!!!

I am a pretty healthy person. Went to Dr. England during my two uneventful successful pregnancies. He likes to regurgitate statistics in a robot manner which is very frustrating. Not very personable. The final straw for me was how he handled my recent miscarriage. I was 9.5 week along and experiencing bleeding and cramping. I called him early in the morning (6am) telling him of my potential miscarriage concern. His response? Very nonchalantly, "Call the office at 9am and tell them to order you bloodwork. We'll check your hcg levels at that time then again in 48 hours to see if this is a viable pregnancy. Miscarriage is very common and occurs in 25% of pregnancies." Being as far along as I was, an ultrasound could very quickly determine the viability of the pregnancy and avoid a lot of unnecessary anxiety.

I was very upset at the service received at this office. They took entire days to return to calls, send you to appointment at any of their offices, which are far awayfrom each other, have only daytime office hours. In my opinion this practice has too many patients to treat properly

I saw Dr. England for a routine OB appointment at 38 weeks. I normally see another doctor in his group, but he was on vacation. I was very pleased with his treatment and caring and professionalism. He took more than enough time to explain answers to every question I had and even ordered a lab test for me to check on a an issue "just in case". I would happily see Dr. England again anytime!

He's the greatest. Don't hesitate to make an appointment. He delivered all three of my kids and I am so thankful for that.

Dr. England is the best doctor I've ever been treated by. He explains everything to you and makes sure you understand. I granted did not have what you'd call you're "average" issues which only raises my opinion of this man 100%. I felt like I was greeted like a friend or family every time I walked into his Butler Office. Appointment or no appointment I was always greeted by name. His staff gets you in asap. I called at 1pm on a Friday afternoon and got an appt for 9 am Monday morning for my first visit ever with him. Every time with the exception of one visit which was an emergency and he was in delivery I saw HIM. Most dr's try to pawn you off on their PA's. I'd usually only wait about 5 minutes in the waiting room and MAYBE 5 minutes in the exam room. Every chance I get to review Dr. England I do. I want ppl to know how good of a doctor he is, especially in his field where he deals with neurotic pregnant women all year round!!!
