Dr. Michael D Fields, MD

I needed rehab for a broke hip, so went to Bandera rehab/nursing home. he changed me meds from what my pain management Dr had prescribed and left me to suffer. What a jerk! He should not be a dr.

Seen him 2 times and both times he did Not want to do anything. Instead he sent me to San Angelo. No bed side manner as well.He seems self serving.

Dr. Fields is very detailed and takes the time to answer all your questions.

As I was walking down the hall with my IV pole, I witnessed the way that Dr. Michael Fields treated staff. I was so horrified at what I saw.....he actually threw a chart at one of the nurses and while she was down, yelled at her while she was crying. It was obvious she was not standing up for herself. This was not my nurse, but I wanted to let her know the way he treated her was not right, in fact it was disgusting. He was my doctor and the next time he came to my room to tell me I could be discharged, I felt like saying something about what I saw him do, but I didn't. This bothers me to this day and it happened in 2010. I hope this doctor is no longer practicing or has been fired from Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital. I never received a survey from the hospital or I would have said something about what happened in there.

dr. fields lacks respect for his patients. his manner of speaking with people, as if they mattered, is unacceptable. this doctor lacks, empathy and could use a dose of humbleness. he needs to go back to class and take a semester in, humanity. when a doctor can not find kindness, he should retire and find another line of work.
