Dr. Michael Arthur Flippin, MD

Dr. Flippin was my surgeon for a laminectomy in a medical malpractice case. He told my sister, husband, and I that I would be paralyzed by morning if not for my surgery. He also told my husband and I several times that he couldn’t believe how Kaiser ER doctors handled my case. When I took Kaiser to court, Dr. Flippin lied under oath about the things he said. I turned down 1.5 million dollars to not sign a non disclosure agreement so I could tell these truths against Kaiser and Dr. Flippin. I will continue to do so in all forums.

Yes that is exact words translate in English. My mom been suffer back pain for 20 years plus. Gradually through time her left leg got effected. Pain would radiate to left leg, numbness. And finally limping. She been delaying surgery for the longest time due to fear of complications. Injection worked for 1-2 days and back to square one. So after research and 2nd opinion. We finally agree with laminectomy with fusion to lumbar 4 and 5. Dr. Flippin is a amazing. Mom said he has a healing hand. The next day she was able to walk around nursing hallway. Before she could not even walk few steps due to pain. Now 6 months post op she is walking around the block without pain. No more limping not pain. Thank you so much Dr Flippin

I tried to do my homework before going in for surgery. I needed an L4-L5 spinal fusion. I talked to 3 surgeons, and a few doctors. And deceided to go with Dr. Flippin. My results have been fantastic. My condition had deteroated to not being able to stand for more than 5 minutes without pain. I have had a slowly worsening condition with my back since HS. But since the operation I am having to adjust to being normal. I catch myself standing in lines thinking "I am way past the point where I would have been in horrible pain", yet now I feel comfortable. Enough about me. Dr. Flippin made me feel confortable in his abilities, I had heard good things about him from a friend that had been operated on. Also he was willing to use a more advanced method/approach for inserting a cage/spacer in my back that was minimaly invasive. XLIF look it up online and on youtube. Less trauma is inflicted to the back muscles, and recovery times can be reduced. My results are fantastic as I mentioned, post… surgery everything feels great but I do have some surface numbness on my left side about the size of the palm of your hand. And on my right side I have muscle aches on my upper thigh. The numbness was due to the surgery. I'm told that might go away. The aching in my right thigh wasn't noticeable before the suregery, but I had so much pain in my right side it may have been there without my noticing it. However all in all I am very happy that I had the operation and I am very happy that Dr. Flippin was my surgen. I would recomend him to anyone, and have. I am back to the gym working on getting the rest of my body into tip top shape and loving it. Oh and I am a male 56 years old and I am at my 7 month point in recovery.
