Dr. Michael Brian Friedland, MD

Dr. Friedland is a highly skilled doctor who, together with his team, provides first rate medical care. Just as importantly, Dr. Friedland is a very clear communicator who obviously cares deeply about his patients, is very willing to take the time necessary to fully understand his patient’s questions and concerns, and goes out of his way to address and resolve those concerns. I could not more enthusiastically recommend him as a primary care physician!

I have read the reviews about Dr. Friedland and I am a little puzzled by some of them. I have always found Dr. Friedland to tell it like it is. Perhaps some would call that rigid. I would rather know facts vs. being placated. Recently my husband was recommended by Dr. Friedland to have a cat scan because of his age and he was a smoker. Because of that recommendation they found a very small spot. After a few other tests they determined that it was cancer. It was extremely small. In fact the surgeon was surprised that it was even caught because it was so small. Surgery was scheduled and the lobe was removed. If the robot had cooperated that day, it would have been a very simple removal. But as machines will sometimes do it did not cooperate and the entire lobe was removed. However he is totally cancer free. And coming along very well. All because of a test that Dr. Friedland recommended. Now in reference to myself. He has always listened to me gave me a hard time here and there and vice… versa. He has prescribed medication that I needed and I feel totally taken care of in his hands. He has treated me for my fibromyalgia, yearly physicals and hypothyroid. His nurse Crystal is a wonderful person and knowledgeable. Never have I had any problem with her. About the only negative I can say anything about is it is difficult to get an appt with him. Now if he could just clone himself perhaps that problem could be solved.

I went to him for 4 years. He is very confident and would not hear me. When I went to another physician, I got a correct diagnosis at the first visit. Friedlander had me going for vein treatment when my hip joint no longer had cartilage. He missed that my ed was a result of insufficient blood flow from my left ventricle. I now have had a myocardial infarction and can't help but think he could have helped me prevent it if he had only attended to what I was trying to tell him. I'm sorry to write such a negative review. Maybe he will listen to you.

Dr Friedland is a nice Doctor. But unfortunately he falls in the class with most doctors unwilling to write you for meds that are needed. The problem with Doctors these days are if your completely honest about your past and your situations that arise that require meds he is reluctant to give you meds that you know will help your condition.

Support staff a.k.a "nurse" named Crystal is a pitbull to deal with. The times I've gotten a callback from her I've yearned to speak with someone else. doesn't seem to come across as a real nurse in her explanations. Feel she's a roadblock for such a helpful doctor

Have been using this practice for about 12 years. I have seen Dr Friedland twice. He is usually not available. And I was once told, after visiting several PAs with ongoing problems, that in order to keep coming back they really needed me to see him so I could be associated with a specific doctor. I said he was never available and was told "well certainly not for acute issues like this." Appointments for physicals take months. They did squeeze me in to see him because of the ongoing issues that were not resolving. He basically patted me on the hand saying they had found nothing seriously wrong with me so I was okay. I wasn't very impressed. On the plus side, the visit did not seem rushed.

Dr Friedland is bright, funny, refreshingly direct and has a heart. It can't get much better!

He was condesending, abrupt and charged for more than he was entitled to.

Dr. Friedland is a very good doctor. I have been going there for a long time and I have never felt rushed and he takes time with his patients. He has always diagnosed any of my problems and has always taken time to make sure that I'm doing well. I highly recommend him and would like to thank him for caring.
