Dr. Michael James Fuller, MD

My girlfriend sees Dr. Fuller for her PTSD and panic attacks. Since she started seeing him 6 months ago, she has gotten off of Xanax and is on a non addictive medication which seems to help her anxiety a lot better. She is sleeping better and she used to feel suicidal a lot. Now she is not struggling with depression any more either. She had been going in to ER’s and hospitals almost every other month before. I am really happy for her and this is the most happy she has been since I have known her in eleven years! He also recommended a really good therapist who she goes to a couple times a month and that has been really helpful. I really appreciate the people at Stepping Stones. The staff are very nice and helpful and Dr. Fuller is awesome. I sometimes make apartments for Carolyne and I have gone with her a few times to her appointments especially in the beginning.

I see from other reviews that people either love Dr. Fuller or hate him. I can relate to both because I saw him once involuntary at Centenial Peaks a few years ago and totally hated him. I realize that my circumstances that put me in that hospital were more the issue than the doctor. I saw him later at Highlands voluntarily and I had a totally different experience. He didn’t really change any, but I think I was a lot different. And when I needed a new psychiatrist for my medications and refills, I looked him up recently. He is now at A Stepping Stone and I have been seeing him as an outpatient for several months. I really like him and I realize the health care system makes a big impact on the way we see our doctors from different places. I feel like he really does care and I didn’t see that at first when I met him. I would definitely recommend Dr. Fuller. His is candid and real but also kind and supportive.

Dr. Fuller was really helpful to me. He sent me to get some special testing done to help diagnose ADHD. I had tried several different medications for my anxiety. The anxiety got better once my ADD got under control. I had tried a few medications for ADD already and they just made my anxiety worse. He knew a lot about the medications and was very patient working through this with me. He helped me a lot by answering my questions too.

"Dr. Fuller was very candid with me and it helped me get my priorities straight. He wasn't afraid to tell me what I needed to here. I think I would probably have gotten readmitted again and again if I hadn't got him as my doctor last year. At the time I was really mad, but now I see that he helped me more than any of my previous doctors."

In the years that I have been Dr. Fuller's patient, I have never felt rushed during my appointment. Dr. Dr. Fuller takes the time to personally review your information so he is well informed for each visit. Extremely methodical.
