Excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner. Took his time to explain what he was going doctor (Cervical Fusion C4 C5 C6 C7. I had minimal pain afterwards and felt better than before. All I can say is that he is the best spine doctor I've had and. Would highly recommend him to anyone with spine disorders. Thank you so much to you and your team Dr Gerling. You were great and understanding and you made my experience with you a pleasure. You took all of my nervousness away and I went through the procedure with peace of mind because I knew I was in great hands.

DR. Gerling is a wonderful and understanding doctor. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially Sandra who is very attentive and caring. Katherine is also very helpful and courteous. Unfortunately Odis Tavarez was extremely unprofessional and rude with me. Tavarez needs to be retrained on customer service. The rest of the staff is top notch.

Dr. Michael Gerling performed an emergency 4 tier laminectomy fusion on me in March. Still in excruciating pain. He humiliated me in my other doctor's office and breached confidentiality as well as broke HIPAA laws by announcing the reason for my emergency surgery in front of a crowd who were there for physical therapy. Rated him on healthgrades...apparently doctors can pick and choose which reviews they want potential clients to see, as mine was deleted.

I am a cardiac nurse who works in an open heart ICU and have witnessed both the best and worst surgery has to offer. As a result, I tried every option available to me prior to having cervical spine surgery. I did my homework when it came to getting several opinions. I saw a well known and respected orthopedic surgeon and a well known and respected neurosurgeon prior to meeting with Dr Gerling. As soon as I met Him, and after discussing my case, I was fully confident I had found the best surgeon for me. His meticulous demeanor and meticulous approach to my case made me very confident that Dr Gerling was the best and only choice for me. He spent the time necessary discussing all of my issues and available options. After speaking with him, I was confident that surgery was the best answer. I knew exactly what to expect and although I also knew the risks involved he provided me a level of cofidence and comfort to proceed with the surgery. His office staff along with the staff at the… surgical center are as kind and competent as he is. I am currently 2 weeks post op and everything went exactly as planned. At two weeks Post op I already see improvement. My fine motor skills have improved, my balance has improved and it is clear that my incision will be barely visible in a short time. I don't generally write reviews but I I am so impressed with the care I received that I can confidently recommend Dr Gerling as a spinal surgeon.

We were waiting for this appointment more than 1 month, than spend in the office more than 3 hours and never met this doctor!!!! He send young fellow, who said that we will meet dr. Gerling in the end of appointment... But it never happened! He went somwhere to check our MRI, after 40 min came back saying : Dr. Gerling and I reviewed your MRI and suggest you to do this and that... Definitely, Dr. Gerling was not interested to see us or was not even in the office... I would like to see who will receive the money for this appointment!!! Good job! And this is surgeon from NYU!!! OMG!
