Dr. Michael Joseph Gibbons, MD

It felt like I was just another number walking in there. I possibly have an injury that will require surgery and they keep having me wait and wait and wait and pay more copays. Definitely not an ideal place to go if you actually want someone to care about you and give you as quick as care as possible for a possible severe case of injury.

Got me in right away, solved the most major immediate issues Dr Gibbons is the best there is

At first, I was very nervous because I was seeing two people, Dr. Gibbons and his assistant, and I wasn’t sure which doctor I was supposed to contact. In the end, both were very helpful and very kind. Dr. Gibbons is patient and explained carefully what needed to be done. He encouraged me to do the step with a shot in the beginning. Medicare required me to pay for that shot; however, we both felt it was worth the chance that it would work and I could avoid the surgery. That reassured me that he was not in a rush to do surgery.Of course, it didn’t work for me , so it was onto the surgery. And other than a few days of confusion from the aesthetic, the surgery was totally successful, and I have had an easy recovery. Dr. Gibbons was careful to enroll me in physical therapy and because I am older and suffer from some other problems, I’ve been in therapy for a year. I’m grateful for that year to recover and to have full use of the knees. At my last session, we declared the surgery at total… success, and I left feeling satisfied with the entire procedure. I can honestly say I would recommend Dr. Gibbons to anyone considering knee surgery. His explanations are clear and his manner is calm and reassuring. His staff is cheerful and quite willing to participate in cheerful banter while we wait for our turn. Wait times are quickly over and the whole atmosphere in the building is encouraging and helpful. I am still in therapy for balance, but that’s a whole separate issue. I should also say that Dr. Gibbons is quite willing to answer questions and gives the patient plenty of time to think through questions that need to be asked. He gives thorough explanations.

Dr Gibbons Introduced himself when he walked in the exam room he called me by name. He asked what problem I had with my left knee and any pain I had. I explained to him I had a popping on the left side of my left knee with no pain. We looked at the X-rays of my knee. He showed me and explained that I have arthritis in both knees. The popping that I had was arthritis. He then checked both knees. Said that my ligaments and tendons were in good shape. That I would have to live with the arthritis and some pain. He said I was not a candidate for surgery. But if my knees started swelling he would drain the fluid off my knee or if my left knee locked up he would check it out. Dr Gibbons was very friendly and to the point. As I was leaving he told me if I have any issues call for an appointment and see what's going on.

Dr. GIBBONS was very quick to get to the problem with my knee. Dr. Gibbons have me options and explained them thoroughly. Dr. Gibbons was gentle and professional in eliminating the pressure on my knee in the office.

Very straight forward and answered all of our questions. Gave us the information needed to move forward. Scribe unfortunately was a Green Bay Packers fan! After talking to the nice man found out he also is a St. Louis Cardinals fan. All that talent but no taste.

I’m very pleased with everything Dr Gibbons has done for me thus far because I was in a bad place with my leg injury. Very caring and pleasant, honest and has helped me back to a better place. Thank You Dr Gibbons ?? I’m Grateful ??

The visit was a pleasant experience. Dr. Gibbons was friendly and thorough in answering all my questions. I intend to keep seeing him for any orthopedic need.
