Dr. Michael Gieger, MD

Saw the doctor in 2016 because of disc issues and given the fact I didn't weigh 99 lbs. was condescending and insulting. Before I would insult someone I didn't know I would first look in the mirror and make sure I didn't look like the "poor man's Jack Benny". Mentioned issues with depression and asked me "what I did for work, if ever"! Must have trained at Mr. Blackwell's School of Etiquette. Might be a great surgeon but someone should get him a toupee with some personality in it.

Dr. Gieger was not prepared for the appointment and did not review patient medications or information. He interrupted the patients answers constantly. During the 10 minute appointment he sent and received 3 texts and 4 phone calls. His manner was rude and condescending. Never in my life have I had such a negative experience with a healthcare professional. The appointment was a waste of time and money. Shame on you Dr. Gieger!

I had been to other doctors for my back pain before my visit to Dr. Gieger. I wish I had seen him first before waisting my time and living with back pain for so long. He is very thorough and knows exactly what he is doing. He explains everything to you so you understand what exactly is going on and what he is going to do. Takes the time to talk with you anhourd personally returns your phone calls. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Gieger is a very caring dr. continues to find ways to relieve my pain, dr, gieger bed side manner is remarkable. Would highly recommend Dr. Gieger.

Having had several back surgeries by a different neurosurgeon (in a different part of the state), I went to Dr. Gieger for a second opinion..I cannot say enough about how great a neurosurgeon he is. He took the time to look at everything, AND do tests to actually figure out what was causing my pain. From there, he came up with a plan of what he needed to do. Other neurosurgeon wanted to operate on the same level, with the same operation, that he did a while ago and that surgery got me no relief....Dr. Gieger took the time and determined what I really needed... a two level ALIF which I had Dr. Gieger perform. Dr. Gieger, along with all of his associates, and his staff, are truly remarkable people and I would recommend any of them without any hesitation. Everyone at Norwood Hospital provided exceptional care during the six days I was in there and I would not hesitate to go there again. Dr. Gieger has helped me do what the other neurosurgeon could not do...start to get my life back!

This was a life changing experiance for me. My neck problem was debilitating and he fixed it!I am so thankful.

He is a wonderful Dr. and a wonderful bedside manner. Very througho and caring . Explains everything very well, trust him completely.

Would highly recommend Dr. Gieger. Can't say enough about him - diagnosed my problem quickl; professional and very caring. And most importantly, got me out of pain.
