Dr. Michael Damian Gilles, MD

No apologies at this practice for over booking and making patients wait for hours. Nurses do not return calls and doctors do not care. Dr Gilles does not seem confident in his own decision making.

Not a fan of this doctor. I really tried to be okay with him but he was not the doctor I chose at this practice, my doctor retired and I got stuck with Dr Gilles. He is a poor listener and he cannot make decisions on his own, he will ask patient what we should do or send me out to another specialist for problems he should know the answers to, I leave his office with no better understanding of the problems I need help with. The practice as a whole are unprofessional, rude and have no regard for people's time. Sometimes the wait is long, more than 2 hrs, even at the beginning of the day, I do not understand that, if you are the first or second patient of the day why is the wait so long. This doctors talent I feel is lacking and putting up with the unprofessional support staff as well make this an undesirable practice to recommend.

Dr. Gilles was my Doctor in Bristol, he is truly the best I have ever seen, he took time to explain everything and discovered legions on my liver that was later determined to be cancer. In May of this year I received a liver transplant and doing fantastic. Much to the amazement of my Doctors at Vanderbilt. My 3rd day after surgery I was walking 3 miles around the unit. I truly miss him not being in Bristol, and Reno he is one of the best.

This doctor after 2 visits decided to let me go as a patient because I would not continue to take a medication I had a reaction to. The manufacturer of the drug told me to discontinue use after the reaction but the doctor did not want me to discontinue. I ended up in the hospital and the doctor sent me a letter discontinuing care apparently for not following his instructions.
