Dr. Michael B. Grieco, MD

Dr. Grieco was excellent. He is witty but gets yo the point. He is efficient and skillful. Would recommend him in a heartbeat.

As per the test results I had a complicated case of gallbladder and my gastroenterology doctor recommended me to see Dr. Grieco ASAP. Dr. Grieco patiently explained what I am facing and scheduled me for the surgery at the next available opportunity. He predicted that the laparoscopy may not be possible in my case, however he will try. After 3.5 hours of open surgery (after trying the laparoscopy), with his excellent skill along with the help of a wonderful team he overcame the critical task and I was out of the OR. Two more days of excellent care in Glen Cove Hospital and after seeing my recovery progress each day, he released me to go home. I should add that during his visits he answered all my questions and concerns along with his assurances of a quick recovery. After two weeks I feel better than ever and I can say that he restored my well being and happiness. I highly recommend Dr. Grieco to all my friends and relatives and anybody for that matter.

Been to see him at least twice and while a colonoscopy is not what I would consider a good time, it was as pleasant an experience as a colonoscopy could be......I guess.

I had my first colonoscopy performed approximately 5 years ago with Dr. Grieco. Afterwards upon awakening he told me everything looked good but he was'nt able to get into one specific area. But all looked good. This being my first colonoscopy I did'nt know what to expect. However, in now booking my second colonoscopy I decided to have my records sent to a different doctor. Upon meeting with him, he told me that my first colonoscopy was not complete because he was'nt able to scope a certain area. Then the doctor asked me why he did'nt send me out immediately for a sonogram. He told me that is what they do in that case especially when all the prep work was done, fasting, drinking the special fluids to make sure your colon is clean before the procedure. He asked me why Dr. Grieco didn't suggest this and I said, I don't know. Now after 5 years my second colonoscopy will really be my first because he did'nt send me for the sonogram. It is frightening the first time you go in for a… colonoscopy and wait for the results. Now I have to go through this again. What if there was something missed?

Dr Grieco is the best of the best. He is straight to the point with diagnosis and is no nonsense.

I made the right decision having this doctor operate on my inguinal hernia. Not only was he up front, excellent from start to stop in every way, but his whole team, especially anesthesia with Dr. Goodstein at the helm was magnificent. I respect the need for doctors to train by getting experience but I did not want residents in training doing this so avoided the larger centers. I am glad I did. being in medicine myself, I appreciated all the extra measures that were taken to prevent reactions and infections. I give him the highest recommendation possible.

Dr. Grieco removed my gallbladder recently. Since the surgery I have been suffering with nausea ,fatigue and pain. They told me I now have gastro paresis after the surgery. The only way you can get this if a surgeon damages a vagus nerve or if you are diabetic which I am not. He has ruined my life. I can't work and have a hard time just doing my daily activities. Never use this surgeon!
