If you are not well, and need an appointment right away to see Dr. Hersh, the staff will get you in to see him in 2 months! That is not right!

Dr. Hersh is an excellent doctor! He has always taken the time to listen to me, and is kind and compassionate! He always helps me with any problem that arises, and I would highly recommend him to any person that needs a gastro doctor!

I've been going to Dr. Hersh for a little over 5 years now after being diagnosed with UC. His communication and knowledge is really what sets him apart from other GI's I've gone to see. He explains everything clearly, which isn't very easy when dealing with the digestive tract. I recently had an ultrasound in the morning and he called back that afternoon with the results - and this isn't the first time he's gotten back to me with results in a day or 2. I have had 3 colonoscopies and 1 sigmoidoscopy since he's been my GI and everyone has gone smoothly. If you're looking for a young, great GI then look no further than Dr. Hersh!

I had a colonoscopy an endoscopy done yesterday br Dr. Herschel. I highly recommend him. I had heard all the horror stories over the years and was truly terrified of these procedures. then I met this wonderful doctor. His professionalism second to none. He was kind, gentle, explained everything, and was reassuring. He, along with the anesthesiologist were great. They had me laughing in the operating room and it is not easy to make me laugh at a time like that. Even the prep before hand wasn't bad at all. Thank you Dr. Hersch. You are a fine physician.

Doctor Hersh is an excellent, caring and highly efficient clinician. Previously I used a group, at Lutheran General, that moved to Niles, and the physician with wom I scheduled my colonoscopy did not show for the procedure. I guess he couldn't figure out how to enter appointments in his nifty Blackberry, thus the need for his colleague to cover, which was fine, I liked the guy better. One caveat- Doctor Hersh's in office aide, is somewhat a null set. If you can overlook her, all will be fine.

Dr. Hersh is a caring and compassionate doctor...one of the few around who really takes the time to talk to his patients and help them with problems. I highly recommend him!
