I just refered my mom to Dr.Higgins for a hernia repair. Dr.Higgins did my hernia repair 4 years ago. He is was an excellent surgeon. He was kind, took as much time as needed to answer my questions and had an a great bed side manner. He checked in on me after the surgery as well.

Dr. Higgins performed a routine double inguinal hernia mesh surgery on me. It left me in chronic pain as he placed a mesh retainer directly into a nerve. I had to go to a different hospital to get a c.t. scan to find the error, and uw to have the nerve cryoablated. It doesn't hurt as much, but it's still left me with chronic pain, and cost me my career.

Not only does Dr. Higgins know his stuff, he has heart. He continues to go above and beyond our expectations as a surgeon. He's hard working, and personable, and genuinely cares for his patients. I couldn't recommend a better man for the job.

Dr. Higgins has been terrific. He spent a lot of time with me and really listened. He has been available after hours and made sure I knew who was covering when he was off. He is calm, very attentive, highly competent and has a lovely sense of humor. He has made sure I had what I needed before and after surgery, as well as taking great care of me when I had a subsequent infection. I would recommend him with enthusiasm and without reservations.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Higgens. Not only was he kind, but he listened and explained my procedure in length, I was very comfortable with him from the beginning, making my surgery easier for me. His office staff was just as helpful & kind. Should I ever need surgery again he definitely will be my Doctor.

He repaired my hernia. I was lucky I found him, because he took good care of me. When I was in the hospital, he visited me everyday and made sure I have all the painkillers I needed. I was in lot of pain before and right after my surgery, so I needed a lot of painkillers, and a lot of help (like physical therapy). Dr. Higgins made sure I get everything I need to feel better! Now I am on the road to recovery! Yes, I would recommend him to anybody for hernia repair!
