Dr. Michael John Holland, MD

We have been seeing Dr Holland for 3 years now. Love that he is open and honest and gets to the point. He has been extremely helpful and we dread the day when we may have see a new pediatrician.

Dr. Holland tells it like it is. He is very intelligent and confident. He puts my new mother worries at ease. Some may not like his bluntness, but I like the honesty. No sugar coating, straight easy to understand answers. He takes phone calls! I have called and he actually answer his phone. That is seriously unheard of in the medical field. Love him! His nurses are also friendly and courteous.

I am what you would call a "helicopter parent". I am very particular and worried about my children and their well being. I have brought my four children to Dr. Holland for over 7 years. He initially comes off as a little "strange", but once you get to know him, you will realize that he is extremely intelligent and caring. He has never given us a misdiagnosis, even when my "motherly instinct" has told me otherwise. He is always correct, and he has never made me feel like I was wrong for thinking there was something wrong with my children when there really wasn't. He is willing and able to answer phone calls regarding patients, and he truly enjoys his work. He also uses his experience in combination with the lastest research regarding healthcare for children. My main concern is that he will eventually retire, leaving with me with the choice to find a new pediatrician!

Be warned: Dr Holland is very old school and has a gruff bedside manner. Also, if your child has stranger danger issues, I would NOT recommend going to him. There is no easing into anything, he will take your child right out of your arms and hold them down on the table - to check out their throat! The whole experience was that of your child as a car and the dr as part of a pit crew.
