Dr Howard & his immediate staff are incredible. Every question got answered before and after surgery. They are truly a caring group of people. My elbow surgery went very well. Not often to you get the best in class and their character is even better. • It is easy to recognize that Dr. Howard has a brilliant mind yet he addresses you as a colleague & friend to the point that I’m afraid he’ll quiz me at any moment so I can help him solve Nash’s quiz. Always takes the time to explain in detail what is going on with your body and you never feel rushed. • PA Amanda Muck frightens me ?? At my first Post-Op Amanda showed and explained my procedure. I’ve NEVER, EVER witnessed somebody so passionate & fired up about their profession. I thank God that she was in the room and on my team. She quickly and confidently made me understand my tasks to properly rehab. • Bryan checks me into the Post-Op visits. I like Bryan he’s the good cop but I’m bringing a chess board to my visit tomorrow to see if I can conjure Scary Bryan • The whole team are proficient, professional, and friendly. After sustaining an athletic shoulder tear—that otherwise would NEVER have healed on its own— Dr. Howard literally gave me my life back! Not only am I COMPLETELY HEALED… but after sticking to my surgical recovery and physical therapy like ‘white on rice’…I am now STRONGER THAN EVER! I'm so glad I got this fixed. What’s more, I learned 'a thing or two' about shoulder care—and how to prevent this injury from ever happening again. Dr. Howard and his entire office staff is amazing. I had a very severe elbow dislocation and I trusted Dr. Howard through the entire process. Other doctors would have immediately done the tendon repair surgery which would have taken me away from my sport for 6+ months, but after he recognized that the surgery wasn’t the best option, he provided appropriate alternatives. I ended up with elbow constricture from the scar tissue but he expertly repaired that with arthroscopic surgery and within 3-4 weeks I was as good as new. He provides thorough explanations and takes plenty of time to make sure you are confident with the treatment plan. His PA, Ally, is amazing as well. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen which is a major plus. Highly recommend Dr. Howard and Plano Ortho!!

I could not have asked for a better outcome. Only very minimal pain was experienced after the operation. After six weeks, the strength and range of motion is coming back quite nicely.

I was referred to Dr. Howard by another surgeon P.A. because i needed a TSR (Total Shoulder Replacement) on my right shoulder which that other doctor doesn't do. I was afraid of having any doctor add a new metal implant and socket implant for a shoulder being it will forever change how i do things.. When i arrive at POSMC (Plano Orthopedic Sports Medicine Center) an check in it usually takes me 15 minutes or less to be call to the back and another 15 minutes or less to either see the doctor or the P.A.. My very first visit with the doctor i was in a room and the staff came in and introduced themselves to me. WOW that is the first time that had happened to me in all the times i have seen any doctor. I had already knew i needed a new shoulder with previous doctors i have seen. Dr. Howard had spent a lot of time with me to answer all questions relating to what to expect with this type of surgery and what is needed to fix the shoulder. After meeting Dr. Howard and his… staff and doing research on Dr. Howard i was truly amazed by his professionalism, his caring and answering all the questions i have concerning a total shoulder replacement. His staff including his P.A. Allie are professional in every sense of the word. They do take the time to spend with their patients answering all questions concerning care, medicines, what to expect before, during and after surgery. I recommend Dr, Howard for anyone who needs shoulder work done. He will point you in the right direction on what is needed.
