Dr. Michael Harvey Kane, MD

I would say Dr. Kane has a poor attitude when he is on call... when another patient calls that needs help, they shouldn't be told "well you don't have an enlarged prostrate, " well that would be because I'm a woman... and they should not be told I can't help you over the phone, go to the er if you think it's that bad, and really if it can wait till Monday, just call the other doctor. This would the second time I have had this issue with this Dr. I like the other doctors in this practice very much, but I really think Dr. Kane needs a reality check and needs to remember to actually open the patients file before they talk to them.... and to actually read it. I recommend Dr. Guo. He is very compassionate.

I have seen Dr. Kane in the past as a patient, and was so impressed with his care, that when my mother recently needed to see a urologist, I made an appointment with him right away. It was about a month before she could get an appointment, but then an appointment opened up and he was able to see her within a week. My mother is not a very compliant patient and never has been. Dr. Kane was so patient and understanding with my mother. Some of her previous doctors would express their frustration with her for not doing what she was supposed to do. But Dr. Kane did not. He simply focused on her and what she needed. When he decided that she would need a procedure, a spot opened and he was able to get her in within days. He made my mother feel so comfortable. She was so impressed with his willingness to see her right away, and his ability to put our minds at ease with what we feared could be happening. It is so obvious that Dr. Kane cares for his patients and their well being. He is very… knowledgeable, thorough, and takes the time to explain as well as listen. I can't thank him enough for the care he showed my mother!

Dr Kane has treated my father for years. We so much appreciate his sensitivity and intelligence. He never rushes. We have learned over the years that Dr Kane is the doctor who other doctors and nurses choose for their own relatives. He is a wonderful physician.

If you're used to a D.O. then you will likely not like him.

Dr. kane is a very caring physician especially with the elderly.
