Dr. Michael William Karp, MD

I love his mo nonsense approach, I would much rather someone give it to me straight! Let’s face it we are not children; well some parents act like a child and are more concerned about their feeling and not what’s in The best interest of their children. I have been taking my grandchildren to Dr. Karp for he past 10 years, even when we didn’t have ins I paid cash to see him...I have since move to riverside county but still drive up to take my grandchildren to him No I’m not crazy; I also have family in the area that we visit and make a day of it... and there’s the beach ??

I have been taking my 3 boys to Dr Karp for over 20 years, my oldest first saw him at age 8 and he examined my youngest two in the hospital when they were born. He works with a great group of Drs and one of them is always in the office late into the evening and on Saturdays which has eliminated the need for me to go to Urgent Care more than once over the years! Dr Karp always seems genuinely happy to see us. He spends the time to give them a thorough exam or find out exactly what is wrong with them. On more than one occasion, after we were in his office for something, he personally called to check on them the next morning. He cares about the whole child, including their safety, attitude and grades. I cant imagine who would say he is pushy and rude, except that if you were not being a good parent, he would clearly let you know it! One time my youngest teenager and I were having issues and when he asked me to step out of the room for the private part of the exam, I could hear them… talking for quite a while. I have no idea what Dr Karp said but it helped my son’s terrible attitude immensely. Pediatricians who look over your child and write a prescription can be found everywhere. Dr Karp is one of a kind and I am so thankful to have found him so many years ago.

Never go see him. The worst pediatrician on earth. He was pushy , rude , negligent and misdiagnosed my kids.

Terrible experience and will not be taking my kids back. He was over the top pushy and relentless about giving my daughters the HPV vaccine. He was so opinionated about his stance and rude about my feelings regarding this vaccine. We will be moving to my family doctor for all further appointments and check-ups.

He was very rude and arrogant. Spoke to us like we were stupid and at one point even argued with me. Very bad experience. Will be changing medical group soon.

Dr. Karp is direct and tells you what you need to hear. He knows his stuff and is great. Mydaighter has Downs Syndrome and he has never disrepected her.

Dr. Karp came to us highly recommended by a Mom in our neighborhood, her husband is an RN & everyone I know goes there. Dr Karp has been 110% available (twice on a Sun & weekends) since our 18 mo old daughter was born. He is completely present, thorough, & reassuring. I see the pride & delight on his face at each development visit. My husband is very firm about his high standard of excellence & our baby/girl,,,he adores Dr. Karp & always sings his praises. Reception is friendly, organized, & always makes room for a sick lil one. Nurses are top notch & on a 1st name basis. We love Dr Karp

i brought my 3yr old daughter in for a cold, possible chest infection last week. she was completely congested and couldn't breathe out of her nose. within 10 seconds of walking into the room dr karp started lecturing me about taking her to speech therapy since he couldn't understand a word she said. i tried to interject but was cut off each time and patronized. i do not think this was an appropriate time to access speech and the issue should not have been forced. he spent more time on the lecture than he did examining my daughter. i took her somewhere else the next day and was ddx with a sinus infection and but on amoxi. i was very disappointed.
