I am having a horrible experience with his staff. I had emergency surgery i the E.R after I cut my arm. He was the surgeon on staff that day. I was supposed to have a follow up with him that was necessary and required, but its been impossible to get an appt IF i don't pay my surgery bill first $$$. Don't doctors have the responsibility to care for their patients? I explained I had no insurance and the follow up was required but they would NOT allow the doctor to see me if I didn't pay the bill first. RIDICULOUS. I tried for 2 days until Denisse from billing rudely let me know they couldn't help me and I had to go to another doctor.

Dr. Laqua is great. I had a breast reduction several months ago I was petrified he calmed me and answered every question. He was also there for all my after surgery questions. Can not say enough good things about him. I also used him for my hand surgery several years ago. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Everything about him and his office is great.

I ave nothing but good things to say about Dr. Laqua and his staff. From my first consultation through surgery they showed me nothing but caring and compassion/ Every one is well knowledged and quick to answer all questions. I had breast reduction surgery and it was a success. Dr Laqua made me feel comfortable he answered all my question and addressed all my concerns. Love Dr. Laqua and his staff.

Dr. Lacqua is the best hand doctor in Brooklyn he has done numerous surgeries on my hands, from carpal tunnel, to trigger fingers I would recommend him to anybody and I have I am sad because I moved to Florida and trying to find a doctor as good as he was to me

Michael Lacqua HAS NO SKILLS ...Left my nose deform & wanted 2 build me for a second surgery on the some nose. To fix his mistake. No Way

Very caring doctor will explained everything to you before surgery come see you after surgery I go to his Bay Ridge office I will recommend him to anybody who needs surgery

my experience with the Doctor has been excellent.

After I broke a finger, Dr. Lacqua performed surgery to repair and did an adequate job. The finger was not completely straight at the top joint but serviceable and without pain. So, when I broke a different finger in a sports injury, I returned to his office. He only took x-rays and put the finger (pinky) in a splint. After the splint was removed, my finger bent but I was unable to straighten it. I went back to tell him, but he just checked that the joint bent and said, "Don't worry, it will straighten out over time." Well, it never did, and due to its becoming re-set in an awkwardly bent position, I easily broke the pinky again about a year later. A different surgeon who repaired the now more severely damaged finger was not able to straighten it due to its position prior to the second break. Also, he said that the finger had a completely torn extensor tendon from the first injury (he was sure it was not from the second injury). Since Dr. Lacqua only checked an x-ray, I… guess he would not have been able to see the torn tendon. It was this torn tendon that did not allow me to straighten my finger. Needless to say, my pinky finger is now completely and permanently bent at a 90 degree angle at the first knuckle (proximal joint). I even went to the Hospital for Special Surgery and the top surgeons there said there was nothing that could be done at this point. If Dr. Lacqua could have made a full examination prior to splinting the finger, or ESPECIALLY after I returned to show him that I was unable to straighten my finger, I may have a useful finger today. Perhaps this was all my fault for going to a hand surgeon whose real and primary specialty is cosmetic plastic surgery.
