Dr. Michael R Lawson, MD

This review for Dr. Michael Lawson is long overdue. Back in June, 2025 I was admitted to Monterey Community Hospital. I had contacted new pneumonia and was to remain in the hospital for almost a week. Dr. Lawson was the attending physician and he was kind, committed and knowledgable.As a senior(I'm 85 years old) being old can make one feel even more vulnerable and confused. However, Dr. Lawson did not in any way make me feel like that at all. In fact, he made me feel valuable and worthwhile. I feel so grateful to him. As soon as the pneumonia had been tackled, Cardiologist Dr. Fowler put in a pacemaker for me. That procedure, had been scheduled for me on July, 25. but as I was already in the hospital, Dr. Fowler went ahead and my pacemaker was put in by him, as soon as I was over my bout of pneumonia. Again, lucky enough to have a great doctor. Dr. Fowler is committed and caring and an amazing surgeon. He did such a good job and to my amazement, the scar created by the surgery has… almost vanished. (that's a bit of vanity but I had to say it.) In conclusion, I want to mention that my stay at Community Hospital in Monterey, was perfect- sounds so crazy - but it was!! The nurses who took care of me, were so wonderful and the technicians who did my tests were kind and efficient. I also want to compliment the kitchen staff who brought me my meals (good meals) and of course, the woman who came in and cleaned my room. Her friendly and gentle smile made me feel good. Every single star is so deserved. I wish I could have put names to the people who helped me so much bedsides Dr. Lawson and Dr. Fowler but, my memory has let me down. I just hope, that whoever did help me and made my stay at the hospital.,so comfortable and nice, that they will see this review and see themselves in it. I missed them, when I. got home and I know that sound a bit crazy maybe-it's true! I realize that my stay at the hospital was maybe extra special and again, it is all due to the people who took such good care of me. I am so grateful to Dr. Fowler, Dr. Lawson and all those, who crossed my path while a patient at Monterey Peninsula Hospital. My children are grateful too. Their mother was treated very well and is doing great. So grateful!!
