Dr. Michael Lai Lee, MD

Dr. Lee kept me waiting 90 minutes. He arrived with an intern in tow. He said that x-rays (taken by a tech) showed no arthritis in my hands. That's all he said. He offered no other possible reasons for the severe hand pain. After 3-4 minutes he left and said to make an appointment in 2 weeks if I had questions.

So far first appt said their computers were down. I pre-filled out all paperwork in advance. I fly there, wait over 2 hours to be seen. Bedside manner- blank look on his face. Obviously not listening to a word I'm saying. He just picks up the conversation where he left off as if I said nothing. Next appt in 2 months- this week for procedure. The prelim things with insurance not secured yet. They had 2 months to do so. I call insurance. They said waiting on dr to give them billing code to verify coverage. I get call from dr office late Friday afternoon. Btw I fly out Sunday for Monday appt. medication not secured. Insurance coverage not secured. Then I get a text Sunday from an employees personal cell phone. Says little. Said I didn't need to keep appt. I'm Flying 2000 miles to keep my appt. and they're doing this? Really. Who's paying for my flight for my cancelled appt? This is why I'm going there. Because where I live they don't do the procedure.

Dr. Lee is an excellent doctor and spent quality time explaining all my choices. I will have surgery by him.

A total of 3 minutes he spent with me. Left saying he'd be right back to only send his nurse in for pain managment

This is one of those doctors you have to chase out the door to get an answer to your questions. He leaves your care to his assistant (who rarely answers or returns phone calls).
