Dr. Michael Simon Levin, MD

Great doc...always available and sharp as a tack.

Never on time, spends very little time with patients, shows little concern for patient concerns. Insurance money machine. One of his staff members is quite rude.

Dr. Levin has been my PCP since 1980. I have always received excellent preventative care from him.

After many years I left Dr. Levin because, as many have stated, his bedside manner disappeared and he had no patience. When he could not diagnose my pain after several visits his comments told me that he did not believe it was a real pain but as it turned out he was wrong. Another internist sent me to the emergency room where I needed surgery to correct an obstruction created by a stone. I know many people who value Dr. Levin's diagnostic abilities, which were probably great when I started seeing him years ago, but he is now too quick and appears too harassed to make difficult and time consuming diagnoses.

Dr. Levin is a wonderful Dr. I have been his patient for many years and would be lost without his excellent care..

GREAT DOCTOR

I believe Dr.Levin is a good doc for someone who is critically ill as he runs necessary tests and refers to other competent doctors. However, in the more than 10 years I was his patient, he seems to have changed. He is impersonal and rushed. I don't believe that 10 years ago he was as seemingly over scheduled, over worked, and too stressed to show common courtesy to his patients. He was frequently rather rude to me. It's sad. I'm relieved to be under the care of another physician.

He was almost an hour late and spent 2 1/2 minutes (150 seconds) in the examination room with me. Enough said.

Dr. Levin is a very good clinician, but in recent years has really slipped in terms of bedside manner. He spends minimal time with me, rarely discusses anything unless asked, is very bad at following up with test results, and is often out of the exam room by the time I get to my last question. I am unfortunately seriously thinking about leaving after 5 years. I need someone who is going to LISTEN and concentrate on me - at least while I'm in the exam room! He seems extremely preoccupied and I feel like a distraction. Office staff not very warm or accommodating - seem overwhelmed. I have to remind them at least 3 times every time I need a referral. Would not recommend unless you're someone who doesn't spend too much time thinking about your health.

Dr. Levin was recommended to me by a friend of his. He makes eye contact briefly,spends the least amount of time possible and does a quick physical. Sadly, his office staff appears overwhelmed and are not good at sending referrals or getting prescriptions sent in. When questioned, the woman in charge of those things most often is abrupt and can be rude. I am leaving his practice after a year. He probably won't remember who I am. Very sad, as he may have been a good Dr. at one time.
