Dr. Michael Louis Levine, MD

This review of the offices of Dr. Michael L. Levine is not for Dr. Levine himself, but rather for the two other doctors that are working for him in his offices. I never had contact with Dr. Levine. On 12-2-20 my eye was losing vision, hurting and tearing. I went to the office of Michael Levine on 12-4-20, and they gave me to a Dr. Fleischman, who diagnosed me with dry eye, never even examining my retina. He gave me lubricating eye drops and told me to come back in 2 weeks. By 12-7-20 the symptoms had gotten worse so I went back there. Now they give me to Dr. Harry Hamburger, who again does not examine my retina, and tells me I have irritation on my cornea, and tells me I need a stem cell patch on my eye for one week to help heal the irritation. That patch left me blind in the eye. He tells me I can use lubricating drops and tells me to come back in 1 week. After I put the drops in that day my eye was burning all day. By the next day I couldn't take it anymore and went back… to him. He told me it must be the preservative in the drops and he took out the patch. Then he tells me that the patch helped the irritation, saying " I like what I see." He tells me to use preservative free drops, and sends me out, telling me to come back in 2 weeks. He got paid $1,340 for that useless patch. My vision was again declining. By 12-16-20, I was totally blind in that eye. When I went to another ophthalmologist, the doctor checked my retina, and told me that I had a fully detached retina, and that I needed emergency surgery. The doctor could not understand how these doctors could have missed this. I was sent to a retina surgeon that day and had a major 2 hour surgery on 12-17-20. The retina doctor was shocked to see how the other doctors never even checked my retina. I went through 10 days out of work with my head down, total blindness for a month, then restored sight on to 20-80 with distortions. The retina doctor told me had the first two doctors spotted this, he could have repaired it with a simple laser treatment in the office, which is highly successful in repairing the retina and restoring the original eyesight. On 3-19-21 I went to yet another ophthalmologist who could only correct my vision in that eye to 20- 50 with glasses. with lifetime multiple distortions, such as Macropisia ( seeing things much smaller than normal, a permanent dilated pupil, light sensitivity, halos and starbursts at night. Because of this place, I am living on one eye for the rest of my life. It's an unsolved mystery to me how this office is so busy, with at least two of the 3 doctors that are so incompetent. These two fools let my eye go blind, thinking it was something minor, when it was the worst thing that can happen to your eye. The prime age for a retina detachment is 50 - 70 years old, and I was 61. All they had to do is ask one of their assistants to check my retina on the machine that all ophthalmologists have. It's a 5 minute test that costs them nothing. It's like an MRI for the back of the eye. Instead of finding this major problem and getting me to a retina surgeon for emergency surgery, they sent me out with some cheap eyedrops and told me to come back in two weeks. If they took the time to check my retina, this could have been fixed with a simple laser procedure in a retina doctor's office. Because of these incompetent doctors I needed a 2 hour operation and was totally blind for a month. Each of them came up with a different diagnosis, both wrong. Stay away from this circus of incompetent doctors ! They will leave you blind !

I took my daughter in for an eye appointment. Dr. Levine and his team did excellent work at keeping my daughter calm as she was scared. I will be going back again.

Dr. Levine and his staff are amazing. I brought my mother here to get her eyes checked she was nervous but I assured her everything would be fine. After speaking with the nurse and the doctor they both assured her that everything would be fine. They were so nice and considerate towards my mother. I really appreciate that they took the time to walk her through everything that she needed including her eye examination. I thought that was very nice of them we will definitely be back.

Dr. Levine went out of his way to make sure I was ok and even called my house to check up on me. This is a good doctor

Arrival into their beautiful office was easy and efficient. I was quickly called for my preliminary testing before seeing Dr. Levine. Dr. Levine is incredibly personable and made me feel at ease immediately. Dr. Levine has performed perfect cataract surgery on many of my friends and family members. After his comprehensive examination, he decided we should monitor my cataracts and check back in six months to see if I am a candidate. I am very happy that he was caring enough to not rush into surgery until the right time. I am so thankful to have such a great and caring surgeon monitoring my eye health! Dr. Levine and staff are the best!!!!!

He's all about the surgery and getting you booked. No warm fuzzy feeling

Clean and comfortable office. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Dr. Levine was easy to talk to and extremely caring. His knowledge and training are superior. My appointment was a pleasant experience!
