Dr. Michael Borg Limberg, MD

This doctor has a HUGE ego and is very sociable and likeable at first. Yes, as others have stated, it seems he cares more about his pocket book than doing the best thing for his patients! Plus he believes in JUNK science! If you are a FLAT Earther.....this may be your guy! Or if you just want to fawn at his good looks and charisma....go for it! Do yourself a favor and if you do happen to see this scammer....get a second opinion!!! That's what I did when luckily I accompanied my Dad to an office visit and Dr. Limberg quoted some OBVIOUS junk science regarding Covid19. I was then reluctant to let him perform the cataract surgery he scheduled for my dad and scheduled a second opinion. That's when we found out all he needed was a new pair of glasses!!!! HUH? In retrospect, his glasses were sooo fogged, scratched and prescription sooo outdated that I should have been able to figure this out myself if Dr. Limberg hadn't been so convincing that surgery was the best thing my Dad… could do for himself. Thank goodness I followed my instincts.

Not only do the reception and appointment personnel lie, but there is no regard for the safety of patients or employees in this office. Enter at your own risk. When I made my appointment for this afternoon at Dr. Limberg's office, I told the person making the appointment that I have been self-isolating for almost two months as I fall into several high-risk categories (I had an appointment previously which I had to cancel as my car wouldn't start since I had not left the house in nearly two months, so I had to have it towed to the mechanics.) I asked if masks were required of patients and the office personnel, otherwise I would need to wait until I could obtain a N95 mask. I was assured that everyone was wearing a mask. On my arrival, I noted that the receptionist was not wearing a mask. I asked again about the mask requirement (I was wearing a mask, but only the type that would limit the spread of the disease if I had been exposed.) She quickly put on the mask and said that they were.… I asked then specifically about the requirement for patients and received the same assurance. As I was completing my forms, a male patient who was not wearing a mask walked out of the examination area and over to the receptionist. I jumped up, handed the clipboard to the receptionist, and said that I had to leave because people weren’t wearing masks as she had said they were. I left immediately. I had been led to believe that medical offices were requiring masks as a friend who had been self-isolating fell and I took her to get x-rays (everyone was wearing masks which were required) and then to the doctor's where again everyone was wearing masks. (I stayed in the car each time.) I find the disregard for others as evidenced in not wearing masks and the sense of privilege and arrogance that this virus has revealed in many people sad and appalling. If a person thinks that scientists and medical personal as well as observations in other countries are a hoax, then so be it. However, what does it hurt them to wear a mask if it makes others more comfortable (as well as reducing the spread of the virus by up to 90%). Further, we now know that the virus released from infected people (many of whom show no symptoms) who are not wearing masks can hang in droplets in the air for hours. I am disgusted that a doctor's office shows so little regard for patients ad employees. As for employees wearing masks at all times, grocery store personnel and other retail personnel do so as were all the personnel at the x-ray and doctor's office. For those of you who care about your own health and that of others, avoid Dr. Limberg. If he doesn't require something as small as the wearing of masks to keep his patients safe, then how can he be trusted with larger issues of patient safety?

He is a miracle worker!

My husband and I both had Lasik surgery approximately 12 years ago with Dr. Limberg. It was a great experience, the staff was welcoming, informative, super friendly. Dr. Limberg himself was awesome. I am returning to possibly get my lasik redone. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Warning there is a cat in their SLO office and no concern for patients with allergies

Basically he is quite rude, he seemingly only cares about money; instead of the welfare of the patient.
