Dr. Michael Daniel Loughner, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Loughner for approximately 3 years now initially due to hypothyroidism. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shorty after. Dr. Loughner recommended an excellent surgeon and I have my first procedure. He followed up frequently and made sure I was on the right path. The cancer came bank and Dr. Loughner recommended additional treatment. In all my appointments he takes the time to listen and answer questions. He is also prompt with his appointments which is convenient. Highly recommended!!

This was my first visit and I came up from Colorado Springs. The staff was fantastic, they were so helpful and polite. I felt so cared about. Dr Loughner had reviewed my records and spent time addressing each of my concerns. He took time and made me feel like I was his only patient. He answered every question and put me at ease. I know I'm in good hands!

He is friendly & courteous and is well informed in his field. He is also quite thorough, which is what patients want & deserve. I feel I am in excellent hands.

Always friendly, courteous, yet at the same time professional. Knows his stuff and is an excellent listener. Have had appointments every 6 months for years. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Dr. Loughner listened to my concerns, explained his recommendation and asked me to schedule a follow up. I feel he is knowledgeable and has a good bedside manner during the appointment. Based on this I would recommend the Dr. However........ When attempting to schedule the "patient coordinator" failed to return calls several times. When I left several messages with concerns about my test results and my prescription the Dr ordered I never received a return call. There is no excuse for the continued lack of response from this office. There is no way to get a live person, you can only leave messages. Unfortunate for his patients that the office staff is costing him patients.

Dr. Loughner is polite, listens, seems to care and is knowledgeable. I don't feel like he is in a hurry when I see him, which makes me feel like he actually cares. My only negative is that he seems to push medications to treat symptoms more than actually dealing with the big picture. This is true of most doctors, but still it would be nice if he would be more open to nutrition/lifestyle changes instead of pushing pharmeceuticals. All in all, a good doctor.

Dr. Loughner spent an ample amount of time with me trying to understand exactly all of my symptoms, he performed a wide varity of tests to make sure he "looked under every stone" and didn't make a rush judgement until all of the results were in. He was willing to consider that just because I was still within the normal range of the tests, what was happening with my body wasn't normal and he conservatively prescriped a small amount medication that worked wonders. I would recommend him to anyone!
