Dr. Michael Joseph Lunsford, MD

Lunsford isn’t an easy guy to take and isn’t on my Christmas card list, but I’m not going to him for friendship. He often makes me mad but his diagnosis is always spot on and that’s what you want in a dr. He diagnosed my teenager with depression four month before anybody else picked up on it. If I had believed him then, maybe it wouldn’t have gotten to a critical stage four months later. Moral of the story is believe Lunsford even if you don’t like what he’s saying. The guy knows his stuff.

I cannot describe all that happened with this physician. It is too demeaning and personal. i did call Blue Cross and the medical board, and they both did write ups and insisted I turn them in.

I have 4 children; 2 older, 2 younger. I prefer to limit my doctor visits to well visits and extreme need cases. Dr. Lunsford has been great at well visits and has taken care of my babies when they are truly sick. He quick but thorough, and I appreciate that. We have never had overly long waits, unless we dropped in with a sick child. In those cases, I expect a wait since I didn't have an appointment. Maybe his personality isn't for everyone, but that is ok. I trust him with my babies.

this Dr. is a joke!!! he's very rude and he's not really concerned about your needs! I needed insulin and called whoever was on call for him Sunday, he ended up calling me and was telling me it was very unappreciated that I called him on a Sunday while him and his family was at the water park!!! ha!! some doctor huh? it's one in a million to find a doctor that actually cares now days and that actually fits your needs! as for Dr. Lungsford he doesn't deserve half of a star more less 5!!!!! I will be to see another dr soon! he is out for his self and money! he isn't worried or concerned about your health issues or problems.

Dr. Lunsford is the rudest most uneducated doctor I've seen and I've been to a lot of doctors. I haven't been to an appointment that i didn't have to wait in the room for over an hour. I just moved here from a different state and have a long medical history and set medicines but Dr Lunsford thinks that all other doctors are idiots and called "all er doctors idiots"... his words. I walked into his office on two medicines and left there in 11. Then i started having serious side effects to the medicine he put me on but he still wanted me to keep taking it. He doesn't listen to anything you try and tell him and he stops you while you're trying to talk to him so he can say what he thinks. Anyway this is my experience with him.i wouldn't recommend him to any adult and dont see how he's a pediatrician cause i would never let him see my child.

Dr. Lunsford is a trusted and intelligent physician. Those who left comments claiming otherwise are clearly uneducated, judging by both their grammar and medical lingo. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been a long time resident of the area, and as such I have been through other practices in Cullman where I felt like I was herded through like cattle, spent hours in the waiting room (literally sometimes 2-3 hours, despite having an appointment)and I was often dismissed by the physicians when I finally made it into the exam room. Dr Lunsford's office is different. I have never waited more than a half hour (and I may have been early for my appointment that day, so it may have been my fault). Dr Lunsford listens to what I am saying, respected my opinion and feelings when I was uncomfortable with a treatment option and was open to my questions and suggestions based on research of my issue. My entire family sees Dr. Lunsford and we have no reason to change!

Outstanding physician! Very caring and kind. Great office staff! Highly recommend!!!

My experience was very good. All the doctors and staff were very professional and very courteous and kind. Quick and correct diagnosis with great care and compassion!
