Dr Michael S. Mahoney, MD

I have a visit with DR. MAHONEY, 7;am.....drove 40 minutes to get there, I arrived at his office in AUBURN CA. 6:45....The receptionist slid the glass window open to tell me, the N.P. called in sick and there is NO other Dr. to cover for Dr. Mahoney....so the N.P. called in 5 MINUTES before she was to be to her job??? I was told by this receptionist that that Dr. Manoney does NOT have fill ins for him...want to make another appointment...NO! I left a review, Sutter Hospital in Auburn CA. called me to ask details...I was TOLD that Dr. Mahoney DID have 2 stand in Drs. that day........Now, I am STILL sitting here in PAIN, waiting to see another G.I. Dr.....I still cannot see another one for another 3 weeks.....Dr. Mahoney, you can thank the receptionist YOU hired to run your front end for you....Sutter has not done ONE THING FOR ME....is anyone thinking about the pain I am in right now....Dr. Mahoney, HIS receptionist, Sutter Hospital....NO! I was offered a 7 oclock appointment from… this office to whereas I took it, husband was sick at home, wanted to get to this visit and back home right away....just to get treated like this!

When I first found out that Dr. Mahoney was a man doctor I was not happy. I had bad experience with guys doctors. Something was telling to give him a try...so I did. He sat down with me and he wanted to know what was going on with me. I told him everything and he listen to me. I was getting sad because all I want to be normal again. He told me that he will try his best to find the answer and told me he will not give up. I never heard that before from a guy doctor. Dr. Mahoney fought for me to get my gallbladder to be removed. He personally talk to the surgical specialist for me to have the surgery. Dr. Mahoney taught me a lesson not all man doctors are not the same. I am so GREATFUL that I met him. I HIGHLY recommend him to everyone!!! :)

Dr Mahoney is great, not only does he have a great bedside manner but he is very up with current issues of the stomach and intestinal problems. He was my dad's Dr until he passed, he was so kind to my Dad and helped him with a lot of stomach issues. I am now a patient of Dr Mahoney although I only see him for routine colonoscopies I am glad to know I can trust him.??

Dr Mahoney is fine but I left due to his assistant, Jessica. She consistently doesn't call in prescriptions or schedule procedures correctly, or at all. She never calls the patient back, no matter how urgent. To resolve an urgent issue with Remicade, I had to stage a sit-in at the waiting room for hours to get her to talk to me when she wouldn't call back. That's one of several incidents with Jessica that have cost my family time, money, effort, and reputation at work. I recommend that you find another doctor, as I did.

In addition to being an excellent physician, Dr. Mahoney has great bedside manner---and in this field that sure helps! He and his entire staff made a procedure (that most wouldn't look forward to) a breeze. All of the nurses at the Midtown Endoscopy Center were helpful the day of and called the day after to assure my comfort.

Great kind, knowledgeable doctor who listens to and cares about his patients. Fit us into his busy schedule even though we had never met him. Great doctor!!
