I've never been to a better Dr

I spent a great deal of time researching doctors and trying to find one who I thought would be a good listener. Dr. Marlow was wonderful. I needed someone who would take the time to sit and listen to my situation, which was extremely detailed and unique, and then be willing to accept that I had done a lot of research and soul searching about what was wrong with me. My appointment was for 9 a.m. I was told to come in pretty much on time, which was wonderful, because most places tell you to get there so early to fill out a novella of information. Not this place. There are two sheets of paper, and you're done. The nurse took me back at 9 a.m. sharp. When I explained that I didn't want to have to tell her about my situation, she kindly acquiesced, and within a few minutes, the doctor came in. He introduced himself and began asking me questions about myself, why I had chosen him and slowly veered into why I was there. I had come with paperwork to ensure I didn't forget anything, and… he took everything I had, read it over and really listened to me. Even if he had not agreed with me about what was wrong, I still would have felt that he was a wonderful doctor. In fact, in the middle of my appointment, his nurse knocked and said something about a radiology record that had come in that he needed to see right away. I appreciated that he didn't finish with me but, instead, got up and took care of that patient immediately. I have no idea what those results showed, but I appreciated that if it had been me, he wouldn't have made me wait a second more to know what was going on. Overall, he was wonderful. He prescribed the medication I believed would work but that many doctors would not have considered because it's "controlled." He asked me to come back in three to four weeks so we could evaluate the situation, and he was so kind and attentive. And with all of that, I was out to my car by 9:45. I will put up with a lot from a doctor: having to wait for appointments, because I assume they're giving care to someone that they might one day have to give me; a curmudgeonly attitude because I assume that sick people are not fun to deal with; an office staff that's not overtly friendly because of any number of reasons. But in my first visit to Dr. Marlow, I can honestly say that it's the first time I've ever looked at going to the doctor in the future with anything but dread.

Dr. Marlow and his entire staff are simply terrific. He has been our family doctor for 10 years. Kind and patient-focused physician!

I've been going to see him for nearly 10 years. I like his bedside manner. He direct and communicates well. He's always pleasant and friendly. Never snippy, short or irritable. He humors me by listening to my internet self diagnosis and dispels my concerns. ;) It kind of feels like we've grown up together. We both about the same age, so I feel comfortable with him. Only fear I have, is that the Affordable Car Act forces me out of his care. Hope not, but we'll see.

Doc is OK. Receptionist is (site would not allow me to put in the appropriate word), lacks people skills and is one of the least service minded persons I have ever met. Hopefully she is gone by now.

Dr. Marlow reminds me of the true "family doctor". You never feel like you are being herded through his practice. He takes the time with each patient and genuinely cares about your well being. Our entire family is under his care and I would never think of going elsewhere.

Dr. Marlow was recommended to me when I moved here 10 years ago and I wouldn't have any other family doctor. He told me something I will never, never forget on my first visit. He said "I will always take care of you". At my age this is so very important to develop a report with a physician that may, indeed, take care of me for the rest of my life. He is listens, discusses, answers questions, spends all the time required to take care of my issues. He is a kind, considerate, compassionate man with a great sense of humor. When you walk into his office you feel like you have walked into your own home. Marlow Family Practice is really a family and you will be one of their own. I highly recommend Dr. Marlow as your family physician. What a lucky, blessed, ducky I was to have this wonderful chance meeting. I can put my healthcare into his hands and have all the confidence in the world that I am taken care of.
