It seemed like such an emergency when I was there. They would call me with further appointments immediatly because of the urgency. A week later n still no calls back. Left two messages. Hello. God complex to say the least!

I had two surgeons during an Esophagectomy because of cancer, one handling the initial surgery in the front and Dr. Maxwell was there to keep my heart working through my back. I was told that I would only have a 2-3 in. Incision in my back near the ribs. After the surgery I had many complications in the ICU. After 11 days I went home to find out it is a very long incision on my back about 10 inches and later finding out I almost didn't make it through the surgery. They had to use the forceps to open me up in the back. After the surgery, when I asked him what happened, He just said that there was a moment that my heart stopped and acted like it was no big deal... Really? That was all I could get out of him because he was in a urgent hurry...his last words to me were thank you for not dying. Now I am living with chronic pain every time I take a breath. Nerve damage and scar tissue in my chest area.

Dr. Maxwell gave me all of the information that I needed to help me with my condition. His staff was extremely friendly and helpful and got my tests scheduled for me quickly! I saw him on a Tuesday and had my tests scheduled on the same week, I got my results quickly and I was referred to another specialist and had an appointment within the same week. Very dedicated surgeon and staff!

did not seem interested in taking care of my complication due to his surgery. Very arrogant and unavailable.

Dr. Maxwell is a great surgeon! I have no complaints to make! His staff seems to be pretty nice too!!
