He saved my mom’s life after having stage 4 ovarian cancer that had spread to her lungs. He does not sugar coat things but he definitely get things done. Very honest and extremely professional.

I had stage four ovarian cancer diagnosed in 2010. Because of Dr McHale's care and surgery I am still alive and well today in 2019. He is the greatest. Thank you Dr McHale for my life.

I love Dr. Mchale he's a great doctor and a even better sergeant. He's very confident and he makes you feel safe. I've had two surgeries with him and both went very successful, one surgery was nine hours long! He's a great guy I'm lucky to have found him.

Dr. McHale is the best doctor at Moores Cancer Center at UCSD.

After waiting an hour past my appointment time to see this doctor with no explanation, he came in and had his hand on the door knob like he didn't have any time for me and was ready to leave the room at any moment. He rushed through all his questions and gave me no time to talk about my concerns. No compassion what so ever. Horrible bed side manner. He was very arrogant and sure of himself, even when he was wrong about my diagnosis. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

Dr. McHale's expertise and confidence allowed me to feel as if I was on good hands. He is gentle, explains clearly, and has great staff. I am glad a friend recommended him to me. Very thankful to have found him.

He is great at the medical stuff. However, he needs to work on his bedside manner and listening skills.

Dr. McHale did not strike me as a compassionate doctor. He treated me more like a number and not like a patient. I would not recommend any of my friends to go to him.

Dr. McHale was my oncologist for about 4 years. He is the epitome of what a doctor should be and is the reason I am alive and well today. He also strengthened my desire to go into medicine :) If you have the opportunity to have his as your doctor, TAKE IT!
