Dr Michael J. McNamara

Dr. McNamara is an excellent physician very caring, and has great bedside manners. He's been my PCP for over 5 years.

My husband went in for an annual visit. They coded it as a new patient visit and performed labs. Our bill is over $650. I have never had this experience with any offices we’ve visited. Now they want him to go in for an annual visit so they are able to charge the insurance again. Office stated they are unable to help us and please pay our bill that there coding is accurate. They should have disclosed to him when he scheduled that he would have two appointments and what each one actually was.

I have been seeing Dr. McNamara for over 26 years.He and his staff are incredible. I am fairly active and have found that any issue due to any health issue he has been there for me each time. He is great about getting to know you and any challenges that you are having. The bay area is filled with a lot of great medical practitioners. The process of choosing the right one is daunting to say the least. Trust me if you choose Dr. Mc, you are choosing the best Dr. In America.

Michael Mcnamara is a smart, astute internist who has been extraordinarily responsive to my husband and to me. He spends the time required to figure out what's going on, follows up in a professional manner and is a caring, funny man on top of that. Don't know who these other reviewers saw, but it could not have been Michael Macnamara.

The office staff is very close to being completely incompetent. They receive and return all calls by message system. Rarely can you speak to a live person when you call. If your scheduling an appt. you will eventually be called back, but for other issues, such as; billing issues, referrals, tests results, etc., you will have to call the office back, generally several times, to get the information you need.
